Have partition Magic 4.0, want to partition drive on Windows 2000[nt5]. Hard
drive currently has 4GB free space. Installation complains that it does not
recognize version. All I want to do is install a 2GB partition with ample
space available. if I proceed, what are the known issues?

PM 4 was built in 98 & as such there is no guarantee that it will work under
Win2k, likewise PM 5 may not work

Right.
so I'd go to PM's website and see if they have any upgrade options
