xp crashes every time I insert a dvd or cd

Every time I insert a DVD or CD my computer srashes to blue screen. I have
recorded the error codes and they vary every time it crashes.

Anyone got any ideas what going on?

This happened out of the blue without any new software installation. Outside
of this the computer runs perfectly.

Since the Stop Errors are different and it doesn't matter whether it is a CD
or DVD, this is probably bad hardware. Swap out the drive for a
known-working one. If that works, discard the original drive. This sort of
problem can also be caused by a faulty power supply so that's your next
step if swapping out the drive doesn't help.
