Hey everyone -- trying not to panic here.

I have windows XP. I have 2 harddrives -- the C drive, which is the
original drive that came with my computer, and the F drive, a 250 gig
internal drive I installed a while back.

I turned on my computer today and the F drive is gone. It's not
showing up in explorer, in disk manager, and any files I try to find
on it are gone.

This drive had everything on it...I have no clue why it's not showing
up. I restarted my computer 3 times. I don't know what else to do.

Thank you so much.

First check to see if it's detected in the bios

Jordan:
Another thing you might want to try at this point is to download the HDD
diagnostic utility that will probably be available from the disk's
manufacturer.

Hey

So I woke up today, turned on my computer and now everything is normal
again.

I'm still worried though -- no clue what happened. Any ideas?? I
still may open up my computer and make sure everything's ok, though I
can't imagine what could have gone on inside of it (it hasn't been
touched)

If nothing else, you should have learned the value of having a proper backup
of your system's drives.
