Getting PCMCIA MTD-0002 installation applet on any card I try to install.
Researched and found solution to replace with this file version. This is
newer than the file supplied with XP Service Pack 2. Can't find on Microsoft
WebSite.

Any ideas how to obtain????

I have the exact same problem. I tried to use the HP/Conpaq email
support and they told me to update the BIOS, which I did and it had no
effect on the problem at all. I email'd back that the solution did not
work and they suggested that I just remove and insert the PCMCIA network
card (to me this not acceptable) so if you want to buy a laptop I do not
recommend HP or Compaq if that is the extent of the support you can
get.

I have searched high and low for the .34 PCMCIA>SYS version, I even
upgraded to XP service pack 3 Beta to see if the driver would fix the
problem, it does not.

If I boot the computer then remove and re-insert the card it will work
but I am afraid I will wear out the pins on my PCMCIA socket. Does
anyone have a REAL Fix for the MTD-0002 driver not found error?????
