I don't know why your subject line says "hard drive problems" because
nothing in your post indicates any problems with your hard drive. Rather it
seems as though you are having software problems caused by malware damage.
If you really think there is a physical problem with your hard drive, run a
diagnostic on it. Download the utility from the drive mftr's website or use
Seagate's SeaTools For DOS. If the drive fails any physical tests, replace
it.
Since we don't know what "some virus problems" entailed, all I can do is
assume that the operating system was damaged by the malware. Suggested
triage:
Start by backing up your data.
1. Run the System File Checker to replace damaged system files:
Start>Run>sfc /scannow [enter]
2. If that doesn't work, do a Repair Install:

3. If that doesn't work, return your computer to factory condition by
whatever method HP has for your specific model machine.
