Both DVD drives not recognised

Hi

I have an XP Pro PC with two DVD drives a Sony and a LG DL.

Both were working fine a couple of weeks ago, last night when I tried to
burn a DVD Nero would not see either as a DVD drive, only CD drives, I tried
uninstalling Nero and reinstalling but that did not help.

I noticed that the drive appear correctly in Explorer as DVD/R DVD/RW but as
soon as I put a DVD in either they appear as "CD Drive" only.

Any ideas on what I can do about this?

Daniel, if the Drive Icons show up in MyComputer then rt click on the
Icon and select
Properties>Recording. Check the box that say's Enable CD recording on
this drive.
You may have to uninstall both drives from Device Manager and let WinXP
reinstall
them.
