Modify comdlg32.dll

I used MultiEnhancer from

http://www.netcult.ch/elmue/ElmueSoft-en.htm

to tweak comdlg32.dll so my Open & Save-As dialog would open to my
custom size and view. It will not work with versions of comdlg32 above
2180 (SP3 is 5512). I would like to modify the dll and the best way I
can think of is to export the resources from 2180 and import them into
5512. But that does not work using XN Resource Hacker. What else can I
do?
