My wife used the auto update thing for XP Pro. How can
I check her D-600 notebook to see if Service Pak 3 has been installed?

1. Right-click on My Computer Icon, left-click on Properties. Look on the
General tab. Your operating system/service pack level will be listed.

2. Or go to Control Panel>System applet and then same as #1 above.

3. Or Start>Run>winver [enter]

It cannot be installed because it is not available until tomorrow.

An easy way to check version is to right click the My Computer icon on
the Desktop and selelect Properties.

Hope this helps.

As of now - unless you are an MSDN/Technet subscriber - or got it from one -
or got it from some other source (other than Microsoft directly) - it is not
installed. It is not available to the general public.

However - to check:

Start button --> RUN --> type in:

winver

--> click OK --> It will tell you which Service Pack you are at.
