I have fitted an new CPU and motherboard. Now when I try to boot up the
system I get a message saying hal.dll is missing or corrupt.
How can I fix this problem?

Unless the motherboard was identical to the original one you will have to
perform a repair install. Make sure you have your product key and all the
drivers for your hardware.
