For some reason, when my computer comes out of hibernation or sleep
mode, I can't get any audio to play through the speakers. It doesn't
work on any audio player on the computer so it's something with the
system I guess.

I'm running windows XP with SP3.

Thanks in advance!

I had a similar problem, running the same OS. I found that the Sound
icon in the Sys Tray showed the Vol setting at zero after hibernation
and also after running a MIDI file. Sliding this Vol control back up
restores the sound...until the next time. I surely do wish I could
figure out how to keep it from moving the Vol slider to zero each
time, but I've drawn a blank on this one.
