For several years, I have a Canon scanner and printer installed. Both work
fine. However, some of the image editors could not "find" this scanner on my
system. In Device Manager, under the Imaging Devices only Logitech Cam is
listed. Under ports - Communication port (com1) and ECP Printer Port (LPT1)
are listed. There is no question mark or warning anywhere.
May someone please tell me how to make this scanner "visible" for all
imaging programs.

See if the software has an option to pick or select a 'Twain' driver.
If so then pick the Canon scanner as it should be listed as one of the input
sources.

Of course, the scanner is listed as source in, let say, Photoipact, MS Photo
Premium, but PAINT.net would not find it... It's a mystery to me...
