Asus A696 USB Driver

I just got an A696 but XP will not let me connect to it via USB. In Device
Manager it gives me a ? symbol under USB devices. When I try to load a
driver by having it find one, it says it cannot find a driver. There is no
info on the ASUS website that can help. Any help here?

With intel hardware or AMD,the chipset installation utility gets you USB
drivers,
if intel based board,go to downloads,desktop,match youre chipset with one of
intels with the same,download & install..Also,xp SP2 is somewhat required
to fully install,run the utility before & after SP2.
