Can Windows Media Player be used to just play or rip 20 seconds of a cd track.

This is nothing to do with the use of Visual Basic for Applications in Word,
which is the purpose of this newsgroup.

Thanks for your response
I have embedded the windows media player object and trying to work out how
to use it to read part of an audio track, where should I post this question.
The object was reading the number of tracks on the cd but won't do that
anymore. It always returns 1 track.
