    - Hidden Text Using Checkbox Hello, I'm trying to write a macro that will toggle text in a bookmark between hidden and unhidden using a checkbox. I still need the text visible on screen, but I just don't want the text to print. I managed to make it work one time, but something must have gone wrong in my code.     - HTTP Posting Document I am new to VBA and Word macros in general and have a question. Is it possible to HTTP Post the ActiveDocument to a URL after it has been closed or saved? Perhaps in the autoClose method? Since I am new to Word automation I am having a hard time finding the answer from the Document object docs. I have found examples of how to POST arbitrary data from the Document, but not the entire binary Document itself. Any help would be appreciated.     - Select from insertion point to text string, and then do it all over again I am creating 850 static HTML Web pages by using Mail Merge in Microsoft Word. (The static Web pages are then compiled into one metafile.) After I merge the Web page data into Word, I have one, long document that is separated by 850 section marks. I have VBA code that allows me to cut a selection from the one, long document and to paste the selection into individual .htm files. I have not figured out, however, how to define the 850 separate selections in the one, long document. I also need help returning to the one, long document and moving the the next section in it. Specifically, I need VBA code to do the following things: 1. To use the current insertion point as the beginning of the selection or range. 2. To extend the selection or range so that it includes everything up to the next occurrence of the text string "</html>". 3. To call the cut-and-paste VBA sub that I already have. (This VBA sub creates, saves, and closes the individual file.) 4. To return to the one, long document as the ActiveDocument. 5. To move the insertion point to the beginning of the next section. 6.     - Letter printing I work with an application that is used by several (50) users. As part of their work they print letters to send to clients. A parameter is passed to request the number of copies of each letter to print on the network printer. The problem is 90% of the time the correct number of letters is printed, but 10% of the time some letters would not print or the number would be incorrect. I put a log file to check what is being sent to the printer and the parameters are always correct, but I ,sometimes get the wrong number of copies. Any help will be appreciated.     - Formfields in a table Hello, Using VBA with Word 2002, I'm using the code below to add a calculating formfield to a table. Strangely it only works some of the time depending on the range value. When the range is "Cell(3, 1).Range" is works fine, but when the range is "Cell(3, 4).Range" the code stops running without an error. Has anyone every seen this before or have a work around. Situation: Powerbuilder application calls MS Word as automation server with general, out-of-the-books automation code. Extra info: OS: Windows XP MS Office XP UK with a Dutch language pack. Word startup folder (in this enterprise setting) located in user's profile. Problem seems to occur with a virgin/clean user's profile (in other words: first enterprise login session or first MS Office/Word session ... Once the normal.dot's owner file (~$) has been properly deleted (by MS Word after this first session) the problem seems to disappear.     - Including mail merge filtering in a macro in Word I am currently using Merge to Directory in Word 2003 to pick up details of our staff vacancies from an Excel 2003 spreadsheet and place them in an HTML-ready document. To date, I have been filtering for each division and merging to the relevant document manually.     - Prevent Tables.Add Jumping To Selection? Adding Tables or rows to tables always jumps to the insert point. Although most of the time this is not a problem, there are instances that I use range rather than Selection to insert material into a file. In those cases, Add always jumps to one location and ScrollIntoView jumps to another and it looks awful. Is there a way to prevent jumping to the insert point?     - Listing Word macros Hi, I am working on a project for designers to create automated templates for authors to work into. I am creating a set of standard macros that our designers can amend and take into the code window of a template document, and I would then like to be able to access the macro names to automate the creation of a custom toolbar containing the macros used in the document. Is there a way to access macros as a collection (as you do documents, tables, etc.)? If not, is there any way of getting this information from the active document easily? I have currently written a routine to access the code window, strip out the text to a new document, delete all lines that are not macro declarations and copy them back into the main document to iterate through with a second macro that populates a new custom toolbar. While this works, it is not easily extensible and is pretty inflexible, so I am keen to find a more elegant solution if one exists!     - Extra characters in Rng.txt compared to Rng In Word 97, I've accessed the text of a range I've defined using Rng.Text. This works fine, but there are sometimes more characters in the text than there are in the range. This occurs if I have a table, for instance, where an empty cell or an end of row is represented by one character in the range but two characters in the text string. It also occurs if there's some autoshapes present in the document. This causes problems to me since I'm using the VB function InStr() on the text string, but need to find the position of my search string in the range. How do I get around this problem? From #2 is an attachment to #1 and includes some of the same information that is shown on form #1. I would like to automate the replication of text so that it automatically appears on form #2 after it is entered on form #1.     - Improving the AddRow function in a form I would like to know if the add row function could be improved a little more. I would like to add a control icon to a form that would allow the user to manipulate a table by growing it or shrinking it. I am currently using this code to add a row if the answer is yes. Because this is a locked form, they couldn?t delete the added row and ended up sending a quote to a customer with a dead line? I would like to see if the functions in InfoPath can be recreated in VBA. For licensing reasons, InfoPath isn?t available to me in this usage. Here is what I would like to try; When a user is working in any cell on the row of a table. A control icon appears next to the beginning of that row. If the cursor is clicked on the icon, a pull-down menu with a few options appears just below the icon. These options would be to insert a new row above the current row, insert a new row below the current row, remove the current row and perhaps clear the current row. The code I have uses either a SELECTION.FIND.EXECUTE or SELECTION.FIND.EXECUTE . . .REPLACE ALL immediately AFTER the END WITH What's the difference? Also, can I use IF-THEN-ELSE constructs within the WITH statement depending on certain conditions. I'm trying to transform this WITH LOOP into a SUB FINDREPLACE(Param1, Param2. . .) construct.     - Range.MoveUntil is not doing what I need...Any suggestions? Hi All, I have a document that contains multiple instances of the following tag: [Test ID=xxxx] (where xxxx is a numeric variable). Each "Test" tag signals the beginning of a section that I need to perform some procedures in. In some instances, I need to remove a Test if that ID has already been worked. What I am trying to do for those cases is locate the [Test ID=xxxx] tag and set the "[" as my Range.Start. I then need to find the next instance of "[Test ID=" and set the "[" as the Range.End. Once I have that Range selected, I can delete it and move on. I was hoping MoveUntil("[Test ID=") would do the trick, but it does not work like that. As you know, it just stops at the next instance of "[". Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find one item, set that as the start and then find the next item and set that as the end? Thanks! I am fine with the indexing bit and but I cannot find any real information on Converting word documents into Text.
