    - to get date and time from a website Hey all.. I programmed a code in word VBA and access to the word-document depents on the date when someone logs in. But people who know this can easily change the date in the Operating System (the system clock) I want to get the date and time from a website as a check that runs when someone logs in, or tries to (if the date has expired).     - tabular order I'm populating a table using predefinded autotext chosen by selecting checkboxes on several forms, the table has a blank row with a single bookmark that all checkboxes reference. See example below.     - Inserting text at ranges..... Hi folks, I never was very good at using Ranges to insert text. In this particular case I am populating a template from a form. I was using paragraphs(25) to insert text at paragraph 25 and then insert some different text in a list on the next line, but because the text above paragraph 25 can change sometimes paragraph(25) ends up being paragraph(28). I could use bookmarks, or evena table, but I was wondering if their was a beter way? Ultimately what I am inserting looks like: This report relates to the interview with SMITH.     - Updating list from macro using form I have a dropdown list box within a Word 2000 table. When the user clicks on the field, the list of values is propegated with values listed in the on click event macro. I would like the user to be able to edit the macro's list of values without requiring them to know how to use the VBA editor. Is it possible to use a user form to get those values from the macro and allow the user to edit the values and save those changes back to the macro?     - Hyperlink, form and TOC ! Hello, I want to keep active hyperlinks in a protected form and I find the article from word.mvps.org (a gold mine!!!) to do it...but I want to keep possible navigating between the TOC and titles of the documents (I inserted hyperlink for each!)!!! With title's hyperlinks : no problem ! But the method don't work when I try to nest the toc field with the macrobutton calling the "followLink" sub ! A little bit more complicated !!! Any idea to adapt the MVPS method or another to solve this TOC problem?     - Word 2003 SaveAs wdFormatDOSText bug When I run a macro, such as this: ActiveDocument.SaveAs FileName:="c:\temp\testdoc.txt", FileFormat:=wdFormatDOSText It is not removing all of the non-DOS characters. When I do it interactively, it works, but it prompts me with Security warnings. It appears interactively, it's setting the FileFormat=100 instead of wdFormatDOSText, which = 4.     - Delete Current Bookmark Hey Gang, back with another question: Word XP I have a bookmarked document that I am trying to manipulate various bookmarks to create subdocuments. I have code that bookmarks selected paragraphs with incremented bookmark names, and it works fine. I also have code that goes through and deletes all bookmarks in the document, if needed. What I can't seem to get is to delete the current bookmark. For example, if a user selects text and assigns a bookmark to it (bma_8, for example). I know they can select the text, click "Insert", "Bookmarks", click the "Delete" button and that bookmark is deleted. I also know that you can select a bookmarked set of text and assign a different bookmark to it (bmb_5, for example). But I am trying to create a macro that does the following (after a selection of bookmarked text has been made): - Determine the bookmark name, then delete that bookmark (not the text, just the bookmark itself). Using the recorder, simply includes the bookmark name of the selected text. I want it to be variable so whatever bookmark is selected, it can be deleted.     - Possible to Store some hidden binary data in Word Document???????????? hi! is it possible to store some binary data into the Word document using VBA or C++. Actually i have to store some binary data read from some files into the word document through my Word Plugin. This binary data will be hidden from the user.     - How did I lose "Paste Special" in text boxes?? I wondered why my macro kept throwing an error: it adds a text box and then does a Paste Special inside it. Or it did, until a few weeks ago. I thought I was messing up with the manual Copy beforehand or something. Then I manually drew a text box and went to the Edit menu - and Paste Special was grayed out??!? Outside the text box, the Paste Special works fine, and it *used* to work inside the box as well! (Word 2000) Did I accidentally check or uncheck something? Where do I start looking to resolve this?     - How to build the search string to find numbers from 75 to 99? Hi, I do not know if this is the right group to post this message. I needed to search for the numbers between 75 and 99. I built 2 search strings using wildcards (I am not using VBScript regular expressions). One for numbers from 75 to 79, and the second for the numbers from 80 to 99. It works fine.     - Word Addin Hello All, I am making a Word Add-in in VB.NET. I am willing to have my own Menu Item in the Menu Bar like File, Edit, Etc and under my Menu item i will be having some more items as File->New, Edit->Copy, etc. Now i am getting 2 problems: 1/ When I run the program for 1 document things are fine but when i open more than 1 document simultaneously than I did not get that menu working (menu is shown but its not functioning) in other documents than the 1st document. I have solved this problem by creating the menu item at AppObj_WindowActivate function but this function is called whenever the document is activated even i minimize or maximize the document. 2/ When I uninstall the package that I install then the Menu Item is not removed. Its functionality are removed but with that the menu item should also be deleted which is not deleted. So i have to manually remove it so that it is not visible later on. I have mastered showing the command bar but I am having problems with getting the pop up to work. I've added the pop up but there ar no fields in the list.     - y a part of data stored into previous ActiveX control loses if i insert new ActiveX hi! i have written an activex control for word that stores some binary data. now when after placing my control into word doc i store binary data (varry between 25KB to 10MB). control persists it. when i close it and reopen the document it is there. but when i place another control and store data into it, the data stored into the first control is truncated, not the whole data but only few KBs.     - Embedded word tables in Powerpoint Hi there, I have a macro that copies embedded word tables in PPT to a WORD document, but with large PPT files I get a Word error "Insufficient Memory or Disk space.     - Can I automate dropping access tables into a word template? We have a word template we use for generating monthly reports. Much of the data for these reports resides in Access databases. Presently we run a query in access and paste the results into the word document. If the queries are standard is it possible to set up the word template to place the query results in the appropriate place each time a doc is created from the template?     - GetAddress differences I have a small template which creates a customized envelope (special return address w/ logo) and Bar Coding. The template uses the GetAddress function to lookup names in one of two Contact lists of Outlook. The template used to work fine until my hard-drive crashed and I had to rebuild using a new version of Windows (XP-Pro). I reinstalled Office 2000 and was able to recover all of my templates. I am having two problems now: 1) The Select Name dialog box does not sort/display the names by {Last Name}, {First Name} (it is sorting/displaying by {First Name} {Last Name}. 2) It no longer uses the "default" mailing address as the PR_STREET_ADDRESS field even though it is selected in Outlook. It only uses the Business Address (this never happened before). Iâ??ve tried looking at a bunch of options in Outlook but Iâ??m not sure why it worked before.     - Help getting size box on pasted-in tables? I generate a lot of tables in Excel and paste them into Word (using Excel and Word 2000). I've gone through several methods of trying to do this, most driven by the size and functionality of the table after it's pasted in. I can paste in an Excel table, and it becomes a Word table, but often the size is way too big. I've been doing this for years, and I have just now discovered the little sizing box in the lower right corner of a table!! This could be great - except for one thing. When I paste in a table that overflows the right margin, I can't get to the sizing box!     - Problem with previous post re: individual footers for each copy ma I asked the question Friday if I could create a macro that would print 3 copies of a one page document with each copy having different footer text. Greg instructed me on the macro and it worked great. The problem I am having is that the document has form fields in it, and when the document form field are protected and the macro is run I get an error with no text. on a network drive. i am then using a maro to save it from a command button
on the doc, with a dated prefix so i have a daily back up. my problem is it
keeps saving to it my documents, not its original location, and also changes
the name of the original document to the dated prefix one thus making my
shortcut to the old document without the changes. can anyone help pleae?

This is a volunteer-based newsgroup... You posted the exact same question
less than 2 hours prior to posting this one...

Relax.... someone will eventually get around to replying to your post [I
believe somebody already has ;-)], and if nobody does, it simply means
nobody can help. So reposting will not change anything (especially within a
few hours), unless you have new elements or factors to consider, in which
case you should probably post a reply to your own post as a follow-up.
