    - Controlling Publisher 2000 from word macro I have been trying to open publisher using microsoft word, to open a mailmerge document, show the details, and then print it out. I can get Publisher to open, but I cannot work out how toggle the mailmerge fields- to show the details rather than the mailmerge field codes. Also, I can get the printer to print using this macro, but I obviously have the wrong code, because all it does is dump a single blank page. It is a long winded reason why I want to control Publisher from word, but basically I need to kick things off in a Document Template. Perhaps it would be better to use a macro in Publisher, but then how would I call a macro in Pub from word? Below is the code I have been unsuccessfully trying. We have a template which keeps a number of constants which is normally placed in the path C:\Program Files\Microsoft OFfice\Office\Startup. Is there a way to do late binding on this file as the path in later version of word changes from Office to eg Office10 or even Office11? I've done what was suggested below, and the $0.00 display is gone now, but now it's not calculating the fields. I use a Word template that has a bookmark called LASTPAGE right at the end (so that the footers can display "Page M of N", where "N" is the last page number in the current section rather than in the document. (Pages are numbered i to x, 1 to 20 for example.) Recently, I wrote the VBA macro below to insert an "intentionally blank" page for double-sided printing if the last page number was odd. This works fine, except that if, after running it (and having a blank page added), you update the fields by doing ctrl+A, F9, the "LASTPAGE" bookmark moves back to the penultimate page, so messing up the numbering! This is using Word 2003. I'd be grateful if anyone could explain this, or suggest a workround.     - Any way to hide fields without effectively inactivating them? Greetings! Is there a setting that governs how Word interprets the hidden font setting with respect to formulas in fields? I use a bookmarked field in my document to provide a value which is used in a calculation performed by a formula in another field, elsewhere in the document. I would like to hide the bookmarked item by applying the hidden font format, but if I do this Word ceases to provide the value of that bookmark to the calculation -- kind of like conditional text in FrameMaker.     - FTP documents What is the 'trick' to opening a document saved on an FTP server? I have the password, etc., but not the VBA coding to make it happen.
