I have inserted drop down menus in a word document to make a template, if i
lock the form and have a drop down box that is A-Z for example. How can I
make it so that when a user hits the letter P, P shows up?? I can only find
out how to make it work if the user drops down the list and selects the
option, I'm sure there has to be an easier way.

Thank you so much!

You cannot do that with DropDown FormFields.

If appropriate, use a userform instead.

See the article "How to create a Userform" at:
