    - { STYLEREF "Heading 1,Chapter Level" } Not Working I have a document with multiple chapters. The first page of each chapter has this: 1 Introduction The number 1 has the style "Heading 1,Chapter Level" applied. The word "Introduction" has the style "Heading 1,Chapter Level + Before: 0pt" applied. When I attempt to use { STYLEREF "Heading 1,Chapter Level" } to insert the chapter number in table numbers (i.e., "Table 1-2", where "1" is the chapter number and "2" is the table number), it doesn't work. The table number portion of it is working just fine, using { SEQ Table \* ARABIC \s 1 }. It's just the chapter number that isn't working. In order to control the exact placement of some text and graphics on the page, I would like to use textboxes. However, when I use the following code to do the insertion, the code can't find the bookmarks that are inside a textbox.     - how to put default suggested filename in SaveAs FileName:? I have the following simple macro to take a selection from a long document and create a new document from it, the problem is that every time I use it, the new file is saved to the same file name and over writes the old one. What I would like is to have the file saved to the default suggested file name that word would normally generate from the first line of the selection.     - autonew mailmerge error Dear All, Working with Word 2003 on XP workstaions, I have a template that is being launched from a database application that uses an autonew macro. I want it to create a new document and do a mailmerge automatically. When I manually run the "RunMerge" sub that I created (after the autonew macro has completed and a new "Document 1" with the merge fields on it is on the screen, the merge completes successfully. However, if I include the code for the mailmerge in my autonew macro, it always fails. In the many permutations I've tried, I most frequently get an error message that says that the object or property doesn't exist, even though I've also produced an error that suggested the new document wasn't an acceptable main merge document. I've set a reference to the MSWORD.olb and provided a fully qualified name for the code. Is this a known problem of some sort? Any thoughts about other good places to look?     - Disappearing Commandbar buttons [Word 2002/XP] I have a custom command bar with many buttons... but the two most recently added (invoking trivial macros) seem to disappear from the Controls collection even though they are still visually present on the command bar itself... (Word has been restarted since the original customisation) It only seems to happen after the VBA IDE has complained about a compile error though... and all the other buttons are fine... Any ideas?     - Referencing Bookmarks and Fields Hello I was wondering if there is a way of representing the same bookmark (or field) in multiple places in a word document. I've designed a userform that requires input from the user and places data in appropriate placeholders in a document. For instance, suppose I want a particular phone number (let's say 180 -555-5000) to automatically be inserted into 7 different locations in a document from data extracted from a userform. Must I create 7 different bookmarks/fields in each place I want to see the number represented? I know Wordperfect 9 is capable of inserting the same bookmark with the same data in multiple places so that you avoid creating a new bookmark for the same data. Any thoughts? Thanks. I've just started this code, but the idea is to parse through each word and dump out the word and the page number to a CSV file that I can manipulate later on (or dump it to a dictionary object or array or something so I can manipulated it in code).     - GotoBottom Using Word 2003, I have set up a Protected/Unprotected Form Form(set)...The file contains 5 different forms used by the engineering department. All of the forms, with the exception of the first must be able to replicate themselves. The forms are constructed using tables and section breaks as required. At the bottom of each of the forms in the set is a paragraph mark (set to 1.5 points). I am using the small routine (below) as part of the macro to get to the bottom of each page, add a 'page break', and then insert a specific table stored as an autotext entry to create another page in the series. When I record the macro (gotobottom, insert break-page, autotext-add table) the new page is there (bam!). All of the macros for this document are stored in a toolbar for the engineers to use. When I run the macro from the toolbar - the new page is all messed up. The page break is being added in the table above, pushing the balance of the table to the next page along with the addition of the autotext table and a space is added at the top of the original table which also pushes the table further down..... I tried creating a 'dummy' scenario in a blank document and when I initiate the gotobottom by itself, it jumps to the cell marker (outside the table) at the last cell, last row and not to a paragraph mark placed below the table, as I believe it should.     - Referencing Bookmarks and Fields Hello I was wondering if there is a way of representing the same bookmark (or field) in multiple places in a word document. I've designed a userform that requires input from the user and places data in appropriate placeholders in a document. For instance, suppose I want a particular phone number (let's say 180 -555-5000) to automatically be inserted into 7 different locations in a document from data extracted from a userform. Must I create 7 different bookmarks/fields in each place I want to see the number represented? However, I had to write some code to list them out (below, in case you need it) and I still don't have definitions of what these properties actually are. I've managed to set up a macro that hides the content of all text boxes in my document by searching for each text box and setting the contents' font colour to white.
