    - Start-up templates I am using Word 03 (SP1) on Windows XP (SP2). I have a customised template that is in placed in the startup folder. Sometimes, I have noticed that Word does not display the toolbars and Menu. When I check under Tools/Templates and Addins this template has been disabled.     - Disappearing text when doing a paste Hello all, Having a problem coping data from one document to another. I need to automate the following task. I have a document that my customer opens and clicks a button that does a copy. When the button is clicked, I need the following to happen. The file open dialog box displays so they can pick the file that has data to be copied from The selected file is opened Data from an enclosed bookmark in the newly opened file is copied The data is then pasted to a bookmark location in the intial document I have this working, the problem is when I do the past into the initial document, it deletes all the text in the document and then paste the new text. What am I doing wrong?? If this check-box is checked then the "Microsoft office document imaging" will be opened with the "printed" document. If the check-box is not checked then the file will be ready without opening the above application. My question is: Using full automation if I want to print the word document into a tiff file using the "Microsoft office document image writer" printer, how do I set the values for the above check-box.     - How do I take data from excel spreadsheet and move into word docum I am taking a clients listing and moving it into a word document that is already set up. Depending on certain values in certain columns it populates certain areas of the word document.     - Cursor Question Hi, I have a process that updates a "hidden" document with main document data. During execution the cursor "blinks" (arrow, hourglass, arrow,hourglass...). I have a "timer" macro that executes a DoEvents in a loop and I do not have an Application.ScreenUpdate statement in the code. I need the time to update and display form data and document progress. The timer routine does not seem to be the problem.. Is there a way to stop the cursor from "blinking", i.e; steady hourglass, arrow or whatever? Using Word2000 VBa.     - Addin Field Hi, I am trying to use the ADDIN Field typ eto create a bibliography using a VSTO C# application. I can create the field and put information into the Field's Code (The part that is shaded when field codes are turned on) and can add information into the Data property. I am having trouble creating the fields Result. If I try to add text to the result property then the text is just inserted after the field. If I then check the value of Result I find that it is null. So when I select the field with field codes switched off nothing is highlighted. I am trying to get my bibliography to work in a similar way to the Table of Contents feature in Word. Any suggestions?     - Hyperlinks from footnotes to "Headings" do not work in Word 2003 . I cannot hyperlink to "Headings" from footnotes, endnotes, text boxes, ect. (I can hyperlink only to Bookmarks). I've called Microsoft Support with no help as to when Word will incorporate this back into Word (it works in Word 2000 & Word 2002). They told me to use Cross References which will not allow you to change the tile of the hyperlink or style of the hyperlink (go figure?). I guess I could go through all 1500 Headings and Bookmark them all so I can hyperlink to them (ya right!) I can't understand how something so crucial was overlooked in Word 2003? Especially when everthing is developed around hyperlinks no-a-days!     - Setting the on-screen width of templates I have developed a Word XP (2002) template with some macros for generating photo albums which does everything I want but for one simple thing. When it loads, it scales the document down so that the whole page fits on the screen. I want it so that it is a fit to page width. I have tried loading the template, setting Zoom to page width and saving the template but nothing changes. It works fine on documents generated from the template.     - VBA table sort using Date fails I am sorting a table using the following parms: excludeHeader:=True, FieldNumber:=1, SortFieldType:=wdSortFieldDate, sortOrder:=wdSortOrderAscending In Word 2003 (but NOT in 2000) if there are blank lines following the header line, the sort does nothing. If I delete the lines and redo the sort it is fine. If I then Undo the changes and redo the sort, it works fine. If I then close the file without saving changes, and then reopen it, the sort continues to work fine. The only way to get the problem back is to close Word entirely and start again. When I distribute the template, I need to ensure that the OCX file is installed and registered in the user's computer.     - How do I make my form text insert at the exact bookmark location? I have a template document that has a number of bookmarks throughtout it. I have a UserForm that autoloads & requests the information. When the User presses the SUBMIT button, the form text is supposed to be transferred to specific BOOKMARKS in the document. However, I find that the text is just inserted at the beginning of the document, not at the required bookmarks. I have previously made similar documents without any problems, but this one seems to be giving me trouble.     - Object library not registerd Recently, I had a hard drive disaster. I thought that all files had been restored, I guess not. The system is multiboot, with Win 2000 on the C drive and Office 97 installed under that OS. Today I tried looking at Tools | References in the Word VBIDE. I was not given the list of references, instead I got a message box stating "Object library not registered". Note that macros seem to run, I just cannot use Tools | References.     - Mail Merge not running properly from Access Function but runs properly when opened manually Here's the deal: All of this is using the Office 2000 Suite. We've got an Access db in which we've got a button setup to open a particular document in Word and populate the Word document with information from a query contained in the db. Once the document opens, the access query runs and populates the document via Mail Merge. The problem lies in that when you use the button to open the document, the results of the query aren't "refreshed" into the document. (It pulls old data - one record set in particular over and over and over again). If you go and look at where it's pulling the information from in Access, the record set that the document is referring to isn't listed. We have a query setup to pull the desired information and the Word document just looks at the qry when it opens. If you look at the qry results before opening the document via the button, it contains the current information. If, however, you go and manually open the document, you get an alert that the query needs to run for proper use of the document. After allowing the document to run the query, the document is then properly populated with the correct information. I've gone around and around. From what I can tell, the problem lies in the word document as we're simply calling a function to open the document with the desired filename. The qry is pulling the correct info before and after opening the document - its just that the document isn't populating itself w/ the query results when its opened via the code in access. Where is the bookmark?
