    - Bold selected text generated in a userform I have a userform with 6 text boxes. I use a single bookmark to insert the information into the active document. I'd like to be able to format (bold) one of the entries as it is inserted in the document. I've tried tbNAME.font.bold=true and it accepts the statement but it has no effect on the output. I just don't have the familiarity with OOP and with Word's internals to know how to proceed. Any light you could shed would be appreciated.     - problem with showing shortcut in tooltip on custom toolbar Hi! I have a custom toolbar with buttons for different styles like heading 1, normal, and a number of custom styles. The name for the button is set to the stylename + the shortcut, like "heading 1, Alt+1". I want the tooltiptext to be like the name for the button and so it is for some off the buttons but for some others it shows the button name and the shortcut aligned to the right. The tooltip for the heading 1 is for example "heading 1, Alt+1 (Alt+1)" Even if I via VBA changes the tooltiptext the extra shortcut shows. It would be ok if it was the same for all buttons but it is not. If I customize the toolbars to not show shortcust for buttons the extra added shortcut does not show. But I can not have this setting for many other reasons. And yes, the name of the button must include the shortcut.... What am I missing here?     - Catalog Merge Document? We have written a small program to perform merges between a database and Microsoft Word merge documents that our customers create. Recently, one of our customers was trying to perform a merge, but it kept failing. I traced the problem to the type of Word document. Apparently, you cannot merge a catalog merge document directly to a printer. It must be merged to a new document. My question is, what exactly is a catalog merge document? I could discern no difference between it and a regular merge document. Is there a way to make a catalog merge document not be a catalog merge document?     - Create Mailmerge Envelope with VBA I am baffled as to how to create a envelope mailmerge document automatically (without user interaction) using VBA. I have recorded how word does it and the recorded macro apparently takes a "behind the scenes" step in the creation of an autotext entry that it subsequently uses when creating the mergedocument. Each time I record the process, Word creates a new autotext entry and then uses that entry as the parameter for the .Envelope.Insert AutoText:= command: Activedocument.Envelope.Insert ExtractAddress:=False, OmitReturnAddress:= _ False, PrintBarCode:=False, PrintFIMA:=False, Height:=InchesToPoints(4.13 _ ), Width:=InchesToPoints(9.5), Address:="", AutoText:= "ToolsCreateEnvelope2" In this example, an unrecorded command created the autotext entry ToolsCreateEnvelope2. When I examine the autotext entry ToolsCreateEnvelope2, I find that it contains the mergefields that I added via the set up envelope command when I recorded the above command in Word. Because I am calling this VBA routine from Access and want the system to automatically create the merge envelope document without user intervention, I have to somehow figure out how to do this automatically. As I see it my options are: - Somehow programmatically create an autotext entries containing my mergefields. or - Somehow enter a string for the Autotext entry that includes the mergefields I want to show in the address box or - Programmatically select the address text box and then insert mergefield using the standard ActiveDocument.Mergefield.Add command.     - Macro's in MS Word leading into Outlook I have a table set up in MS Word. I have a column that the answer is either Y or N. What im looking to do is, when a user enters a Y, this automatically opens an email from outlook.     - Dutch Math I need to write program code for 'international' applications. I have set my Region settings to Dutch(Netherlands). In Dutch (and other major languages), commas represent the decimal point and periods represent the thousands separators. What am I doing wrong? How can I overcome this? Unfortunately, it seems not to be simple matter of putting a period in place of the comma, for when I actually try to run a calculation using decimals as, the results come out in commas. Chaining calculations becomes more than very confusing (at least to me), because of the fact that the answer returned after the first calculation is expressed in Dutch (e.g., 1,5), but the next entry must be entered in 'American'. And if the initial values are picked up as string variables from an input box, it becomes even more confusing. Are there resources to help explain this?     - Userforms - working with decimal places I would like to be able to enter an amount into a textbox within a userform and have the amount fill from the right hand side. (This much I can do using the Align Property). However, as the numbers are typed I would like to see the decimal point to be placed 2 decimal places within the number, ie if I enter 123456 I would like to see: As soon as the 12 is typed â?? see .12 As soon as the next digit is typed, the 3 â?? see 1.23 As soon as the next digit is typed, the 4 â?? see 12.34 If I then deletes the last number, the 4 â?? see 1.23 So if I type 123456 â?? see 1234.56 So a value of $2000.00 would be typed as 200000 and the decimal point is not typed but appears correctly.     - Removing unwanted macro code by savinng as .RTF affects the document styles? Based on some good advice in a different thread, I saved a Word document as .RTF in order to remove unwanted macro code. While this worked, when the document was opened, it had a different set of styles defined for it than the original document. I am quite keen to stick with the original set of styles as I use them heavily, but my current customers are disconcerted by the Macro security message that is being activated due to the presence of the macro code. I should add that the document is based on a template where all the styles are defined and uses a macro in the creation stages to display a form for the user to set some document properties.
