Does anyone know how to recover a word doc with a
password? The person that created the doc is no longer
with us and we are unable to figure out there password. If
anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

If the document is protected from opening (as opposed to protected for
forms) it is not possible to open the document without the correct password.
There are hackers to be found on the web who purport to be able to crack
passwords - if you have the time money and inclination to give credit card
details to someone who hacks passwords for a living - search at Google for
lost passwords, entirely at your own risk. The better plan would be to
contact the ex-employee.
