In Microsoft Word I am having troubles trying to remove paragraph marks on
the end of each paragraph and sentences. Any ideas?

Hi Paul,

Replace "^p" by nothing "".
But I wonder, whether you'll like the result.
The last paragraph mark in a doc cannot be removed,
unless it is preceded by another one.
A paragraph mark before a table, can't be removed either.
And there are more strange things happening.

What exactly do you want to achieve?

If you are trying to *hide* paragraph marks, do the following: On the
Tools menu, click Options. Click the View tab. Clear the check box
next to "Paragraph marks" (if there is one), as well as the check box
next to "All", and then click OK.

I am also getting these marks. However, my Paragraph Marks box is unchecked
and always has been. The marks just started showing up and seem to be the
default for all old and new documents. My computer is about 2 years old and
Word 2003 was installed by Dell. Word has worked fine until last week. This
same situation has occurred on my parents computer in another city last year
and is still unresolved. Very strange. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Note that in the dialog box, everything under "Formatting marks" must
be cleared if you don't want to see any marks at all. See
