Need program to convert plain text in doc into Word 2007 para

Has anyone written a program that will scan through a word document that
contains pasted plain text and removes the paragraph that is at the end of
multi-line paragraphs? When I cut and paste from a plain text document into
word, I get line lengths on each line that are determined by a paragrah mark
(no word wrap).

I've scoured the forums and help files & it appears that Word versions prior
to 2007 had an autoformat feature that would do something like this.
However, Word 2007 dropped that feature. I'm not a Word programmer. Can
someone help with this?

Word 2007 has _not_ dropped the feature, it just hasn't put a button
for it on the ribbon. You can add it to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)
as follows.

- Click the down arrow at the right end of the QAT and choose More
Commands.
- Set the top left dropdown box to "Commands Not in the Ribbon".
- Select the "AutoFormat..." item in the list.
- Click the Add button in the center of the dialog.
- Click OK. The new button will appear on the QAT.

When you click the button, you'll get the same dialog that was in Word
2003.

AutoFormat doesn't always do the whole job, so there are other ways to
clean up the text. See

You're welcome.

We know that most of the articles on the site (well over a thousand,
built up over a period of more than 5 years) need to be revised and
enhanced for 2007. Very few of the MVPs have enough spare time to even
start on that job, so it's going to take a while.
