I tried to record all the necessary steps but it didn't allow me to stop recording unless I chose a specific file within the folder. Can anyone please teach me on this? Thank you!     - Paste Special Macro -- how to place cursor at end of paste? In my paste special macro, I wish that the cursor would appear at the end of the paste rather than at the beginning. The "placement" variant in the PasteSpecial method doesn't seem to do the trick. So, for now, I'm inserting dummy text ("&&") as a work around.     - reference to the rigth instance of Access I need to get a reference to an already open instance of Access if it is running or open it if not. I'm using GetObject. If no other instances of Access are open I have no problem. But I have no guarantee to point to the rigth one if the user has already opened one. I found an half solution with a strange behavior: Set oAccApp = GetObject(MyFileName, "Access.Application") oAccApp.Visible = True works fine (it open a new instance if it is not open or open and "magically" merge it with the old one if already exists) if I don't have a StartUp Form. if I have a StartUp form, I tried to use: Set oAccApp = GetObject(MyFileName, "Access.Application") oAccApp.Visible = True oAccApp.DoCmd.Close acForm, "Welcome Form" But I get a run time error 2455 .     - error handler with error line number Hi, I have a function in Word-VBA with error handler writing some info to log file. There are strange errors occuring from time to time which I can't trace. In previous versions, I was able to use the code: WordBasic.GetAddress, in a Word user form to access the Outlook contacts to choose an address. This code is not recognized by Word/Outlook 2003.     - Select from insertion point to text string, and then do it all over again I am creating 850 static HTML Web pages by using Mail Merge in Microsoft Word. (The static Web pages are then compiled into one metafile.) After I merge the Web page data into Word, I have one, long document that is separated by 850 section marks. I have VBA code that allows me to cut a selection from the one, long document and to paste the selection into individual .htm files. I have not figured out, however, how to define the 850 separate selections in the one, long document. I also need help returning to the one, long document and moving the the next section in it. Specifically, I need VBA code to do the following things: 1. To use the current insertion point as the beginning of the selection or range. 2. To extend the selection or range so that it includes everything up to the next occurrence of the text string "</html>". 3. To call the cut-and-paste VBA sub that I already have. (This VBA sub creates, saves, and closes the individual file.) 4. To return to the one, long document as the ActiveDocument. 5. To move the insertion point to the beginning of the next section. 6.     - Letter printing I work with an application that is used by several (50) users. As part of their work they print letters to send to clients. A parameter is passed to request the number of copies of each letter to print on the network printer. The problem is 90% of the time the correct number of letters is printed, but 10% of the time some letters would not print or the number would be incorrect. I put a log file to check what is being sent to the printer and the parameters are always correct, but I ,sometimes get the wrong number of copies. Any help will be appreciated.     - Including mail merge filtering in a macro in Word I am currently using Merge to Directory in Word 2003 to pick up details of our staff vacancies from an Excel 2003 spreadsheet and place them in an HTML-ready document. To date, I have been filtering for each division and merging to the relevant document manually.     - Listing Word macros Hi, I am working on a project for designers to create automated templates for authors to work into. I am creating a set of standard macros that our designers can amend and take into the code window of a template document, and I would then like to be able to access the macro names to automate the creation of a custom toolbar containing the macros used in the document. Is there a way to access macros as a collection (as you do documents, tables, etc.)? If not, is there any way of getting this information from the active document easily? I have currently written a routine to access the code window, strip out the text to a new document, delete all lines that are not macro declarations and copy them back into the main document to iterate through with a second macro that populates a new custom toolbar. While this works, it is not easily extensible and is pretty inflexible, so I am keen to find a more elegant solution if one exists!     - Extra characters in Rng.txt compared to Rng In Word 97, I've accessed the text of a range I've defined using Rng.Text. This works fine, but there are sometimes more characters in the text than there are in the range. This occurs if I have a table, for instance, where an empty cell or an end of row is represented by one character in the range but two characters in the text string. It also occurs if there's some autoshapes present in the document.     - Trying to automate several Word tasks in VB6 Hi, I've got a Word Doc that I'm using as a template for a mail merge (MyTemplate.Doc). I'm using a text file for the data records (MyData.txt).     - Select all text in first column of table I have a 2 column table which has two bookmarks named CapBegin and CapEnd (both in the first column). The number of rows in the table will vary (usually between 1 and 4 rows). I have tried using the following code to capture the text in between those two bookmarks and assign it to a variable. I have a template with a footer with merge fields in it i.e. property
address. When other users select this template the merge field populates on
the first page only, on any other pages it only brings up the merge field,
not the populated field like the first page. In my template under view
header/footer the "same as previous" icon is not highlighted. How do i get
this footer field to populate on more than the first page?

Hallo Max,

in your template you should make a new page then the "same as previous" icon
is highlighted and you can solve your problem.
