    - Find & Replace Each Instance I've created a text box in a userform in the VB Editor where a user inserts a date. I'm trying to then have the code search the document for each instance of the words "Created Date:", which appears in the first row and first cell of a varying number of two column tables (The number of tables where "Created Date" appears will vary, depending on another prompt in my form). Each time "Created Date" is found in a table, I want to have the date that was input in the form to be inserted in the cell immediately below "Created Date". I hope I'm being clear enough.     - 3 5/8 x 6 1/2 envelops won't print properly. thinks it is a 4 1/4. When I try to print out a 3 5/8 x 6 1/2 envelops, word thinks it is a 4 1/4 x 9 1/2 size envelop even though 3 5/8 x 6 1/2 is selction in the options. For some reason, when the cursor gets to the first checkbox -- which occurs after 7 text fields -- it returns to the first text field and won't click into the checkbox.     - Looping in a table Dear All I am trying to recurse through every cell in the the first column of a table and obtain the cell contents. I have experimented with several things I have found on the internet, but have been unsuccessful.     - Tables Hi, I have a table in a document that I want to programmatically hide/show depending on certain circumstances. I can o this by looping throuh the table rows and setting the height attribute. This works OK but I have a problem. I can't set a row to have a height of 0. This means I have to set the height to 1. The problem with this is that it leaves a very small gap where the 'hidden' row. If there are enough hidden rows next to each other this leaves a large bit of white space in the doc. Is there a way I can hide the table row so it becomes completely invisable?     - Print ranges based on bookmarks I am trying to automate printing of a document in stages, ie. page ranges, based on the presence of bookmarks. I am using the Start property of bookmark to get the character positoins of the various bookmarks, I would then like to print starting at that character position to the next bookmark. The error I get is: Error 4198 - command failed ("opdracht mislukt" in Dutch) When I use the debug option, The IF part stated above is selected. When I hold my mousepointer on 'FmFld.Range.SpellingErrors.Count' it says that it's value is '0' It seems that the error always occurs in the same formfield.     - Word Object model for VBScript Hi, I am trying to automate WORD via VBScript and cannot find references to the word object model as could be used from VBScript. I can find it for VB, but this is not sufficient to find out the order of parameters for example, or what the properties and methods I can use are. I have to read column and cell values from Excel work sheets and use them in another word file. eg. one column might have a header called Font.     - Viewing and scripting word document in browser I am charged with building web based application which allows user to choose one of the published word templates (Word 2003) from the web server, and instantiate word document. When user instantiates document I need to prefill some of the fileds using word document object model. I would like to embed the word document in one of the frames, so when the document is instantiated - I can prefill the form fields inside the browser. I tried using the DSO Framer control available on microsoft site, however, thsi active X component does not allow me to create new document from template.     - Interoperability I ain't real sure this is the place for this but I will ask anyway. I have to place numerous word documents on a server. A user goes through a selection process and decides what documents he or she want's. I have to create a master document and then add all the other selected documents to the master word doc in a specific order. To top this off I have to capture some numbers that are entered in the word documents and fill out an excel spreadsheet and do the math on the numbers. I am using VB.NET.     - Problem with setting the focus in a textbox This is obviously a very minor problem but I wouldn't mind a solution just the same. When I set the focus on a textbox I don't see the insertion point if it's a multiline textbox. You can see it received the focus when you press tab, because then the focus moves to the next control.     - Visual to Logical convertion in bidirectional system (Hebrew) Hello! My goal is to build Word document from DOS/MAINFRAME file in bidirectional system (Hebrew). I use function in bidi32.dll (BiDiConvertOemToAnsi) to convert strings from Visual to Logical. (The bidi32.dll is installed with bidirectional versions of Microsoft Office). I have problems with this function, it doesn't do the best Visual/Logical convertion. The main problems I have with text, which containes mixed english and hebrew letters, digits and signs #,| and so on. Is there the better way for this convertion, than bidi32.dll ?     - Word deleted CTRL-Shift-P shortcut - how can I restore? I meant to press CTRL-Shift-P to open the Format - Font dialog box, but I must have accidentally pressed CTRL-Shift-Hyphen and then pressed a menu item.     - Adding OLE controls to word document while Adding OLE controls to word document , like am using a combobox, the control is always added at the start of the document, rather than at the current cursor position. Am using a commandbar button , which when clicked, loads combobox in that document, but the problem is that that the combobox is added at the start of the document.     - Windows application list Hi Everyone: I am not even sure if this is the correct place to post my question. If not , sorry about this. I am running a windows 2000 machine, and the last time I was updating it, somehow, I ended up with some sort of harmless (but annoying) virus from the MS web site. Basically, every time I run MS Word and I am on the web, my computer runs a program that shifts my Word window around, and clicks on some of the menus, and even clicks on the start button, and opens explorer and a bunc of other software. However, if I never start word, I do not think this program runs. Now I was wondering if in windows 2000, there is a way of knowing what allpication has been run since you turned on the computer. I have looked at event logs, but it does not show the list of run applications. When the virus program runs, I can see the time on my computer, and if I can see a list of the run applications along with the time, then I can delete the virus.     - Finding text raised by some decimal value I am trying to write a macro to find raised text, specifically, I would like to be able to find and replace the text raised by 3.5 points.     - Does a paragraph know it is in a table? I have some code that iterates through the paragraphs in the paragraph collection of the ActiveDocument and sets the LeftIndent for the paragraph based on the paragraph above it (actually the TextPosition property of a List item above it). Everything is fine until I hit a paragraph that is actually embedded in a table cell instead of being free standing. The result is that the LeftIndent for the text does get placed where I want it (inside the cell), but the table that it lives inside is still flush left and I'd like to move it over too. This is complicated when there are two columns in this table... my code finds the paragraph in the second column as well and sets its indent relative to the left edge of the 2nd column, which I don't want to do at all. So tables and paragraphs intermingle, but the paragraph collection doesn't seem to know about the tables and the table collection doesn't know about paragraphs. In a code module I have written the creation and settins methods which are call by code inside: ThisWorkbook Sub Workbook_Open() When I wrote the setting for the toolbar, I included position setting With TBar .Name = CBarName .Top = 0 .Left = 0 .Visible = True End With which creates a floating toolbar in the top left. So I tried NOT using the . top and .left and instead using .position = msoBarTop But that just centers the toolbar on screen. How can I dock a custom toolbar into Excel's already present area up top.     - Can anyone fix one line of VBA code for Word to text conversion? The following VBA script opens Word documents in the directory C:\src, and saves their contents as text files in the directory C:\dest. Unfortunately, the saved text files include Word formatting, which crimps my plan to index the contents with Perl. I would much rather that the files be saved as plain text. The line that I think needs fixing is indicated with an arrow (<----**). Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks much.
