MAKE MONEY!!! MAKE THOUSANDS!!!
I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it: A
little while back, I was browsing through news groups and
e-mails, just like you are now, and came across an article
similar to this that said you can make thousands of
dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00!! So, I thought, "Yeah right, this must be a scam,"
but like most of us, I was curious, so I KEPT reading.
Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to each of the six
names and addresses stated in the article. You then place
your own name and address in the bottom of the list at
$6.00, and post the article in at least 200 news groups.
(There are thousands) No catch, that was it. So after
thinking it over, and talking to a few people first, I
thought about trying it. I figured, "What have I got to
lose; except six stamps and $6.00 right, right?" Then I
invested the measly $6.00.
WELL GUESS WHAT!!!
Within seven days, I started getting money in the mail!! I
was shocked!! I figured it would end soon, but the money
just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about
$25.00. By the end of the second week I had made a total
of more than $1000.00!! In the third week I had more than
$10,000.00 and it's still growing!! This is now my fourth
week and I have made a total of $42,000.00 and it's still
coming rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00 and six stamps,
and I have spent more than that on the lottery without
ever winning!!!
Let me tell you how this works and most important, why it
works.......... also make sure you print this out NOW, so
you can get the information off of it, as you will need
it. I promise you that if you follow the directions
exactly that you will start making more money than you
thought possible by doing something so easy!!
Suggestion: Read this entire message carefully!! (Print it
out or download it)
Follow the simple directions and watch the money come in!!
It's easy. It's legal. And, your investment is only $6.00
(Plus postage)!!!
IMPORTANT:
This is not a rip-off, it is decent; it's legal; and it is
virtually no risk - it really works!! If all the following
instructions are adhered to, you will receive
extraordinary dividends.
PLEASE NOTE:
Please follow the directions EXACTLY, and $50,000 or more
can be yours in 20 to 60 days. This program remains
successful because of the honesty and integrity of the
participants. Please continue its success by carefully
adhering to the instructions. You will now become apart of
the Mail Order business. You are in the business of
developing Mailing Lists. Many large corporations are
happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. However, the
money made from the mailing lists is secondary to income,
which is made from people like you and me asking to be
included in that list. Here are the four easy steps to
success.
STEP ONE: Get six separate pieces of paper and write the
following on each piece of paper "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR
MAILING LIST." Now get 6 U.S. $1.00 bills and place ONE
inside of EACH of the six pieces of paper so the bill will
not be seen through the envelope (to prevent thievery).
Next, place one paper in each of the six envelopes and
seal them. You now should have six sealed envelopes, each
with a piece of paper stating the above phrase, your name
and address, and a $1.00 bill. What you are doing is
creating a service.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL!!!!!
You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying
for it!! Like most of us I was a little skeptical and
little worried about the legal aspects of it all. So I
checked it out with the U.S. Post Office (1-800-238-5355)
and they confirmed that it is indeed legal!!
Mail the six envelopes to the following addresses:
1) Andreas Swart
Hoornschediep 11
9727 GA Groningen, The Netherlands
2) W. Edens
4829 Bud Ln
Lexington, KY 40514
3) L.Lessard
40 Martins Ferry Rd
Hooksett,NH 03106
4) N. Nkenke
96-04 57th Ave, #16M
Corona, NY 11368
5) G. Takla
690 Adelaide Avenue East
Oshawa, Ontario, L1G 2A8
6) M. Ibiam
9604 57th Avenue, Suite 16M.
Rego Park, New York 11368
STEP TWO: Now take the #1 name off the list that you see
above, move the other names up (six becomes 5, 5 becomes
4, and etc.) and add YOUR NAME as number 6 on the list.
STEP THREE: Change anything you need to but try to keep
this article as close to original as possible. Now post
your amended article to at least 200 news groups. :
(I think there are close to 24,000 groups) All you need
is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money
you make!! This is perfectly legal!! If you have any
doubts, refer to Title 18 Sec. 1302 & 1341 of the Postal
Lottery laws. Keep a copy of these steps for yourself and
whenever you need money, you can use it again, and again.
PLEASE REMEMBER that this program remains successful
because of the honesty and integrity of the participants
and by their carefully adhering to directions. Look at it
this way. If you were of integrity, the program will
continue and the money that so many others have received
will come your way.
NOTE: You may want to retain every name and address sent
to you, either on a computer or hard copy and keep the
notes people send you. This VERIFIES that you are truly
providing a service. (Also, it might be a good idea to
wrap the $1 bill in dark paper to reduce the risk of mail
theft). So, as each post is downloaded and the directions
carefully followed, all members will be reimbursed for
their participation as a List Developer with one dollar
each. Your name will move up the list geometrically so
that when your name reaches the #1 position you will be
receiving thousands of dollars in CASH!!! What an
opportunity for only $6.00 ($1.00 for each of the first
six people listed above) Send it now, add your own name to
the list and you're in business!!!
*****DIRECTIONS FOR HOW TO POST TO NEWS GROUPS!!!*****
STEP ONE: You do not need to re-type this entire letter to
do your own posting. Simply put your cursor at the
beginning of this letter and drag your cursor to the
bottom of this document, and select 'copy' from the edit
menu. This will copy the entire letter into the computer's
memory.
STEP TWO: Open a blank 'notepad' file and place your
cursor at the top of the blank page. From the 'edit' menu
select 'paste'. This will paste a copy of the letter into
the notepad so that you will add your name to the list.
STEP THREE: Save your new notepad file as a text file. If
you want to do your posting in different settings, you'll
always have this file to go back to.
STEP FOUR: You can use a program like "postXpert" to post
to all the newsgroups at once. You can find this program
at <http://www.download.com>. If you don't understand how
it works you can email me at: mailto:andreass@orange.nl
(this is only when my name is in the list, so send a copy
of my address as well. put this in the header: make
millions very easy + my full name)
Use Netscape or Internet Explorer and try searching for
various new groups (on- line forums, message boards, chat
sites, discussions.)
STEP FIVE: Visit message boards and post this article as a
new message by highlighting the text of this letter and
selecting paste from the edit menu. Fill in the subject,
this will be the header that everyone sees as they scroll
through the list of postings in a particular group, click
the post message button. You're done.
Congratulations!!!!!!
THAT'S IT!! All you have to do, and It Really works!!!

Help: Programmed bookmark not appearing in Word
I'm hoping somebody can sugest a solution to this problem.
I have 2 macro's (assigned to buttons)that insert
watermark text (either DRAFT or COPY). Run into problem
where a user does not have the watermark visible when run
macro. What happpens is a hidden paragraph mark gets
inserted at top of document (it's greyed out) but no
watermark appears. If user clicks in header/footer area,
the watermark will then appear. If this user opens a
document that another user has placed this watermark in,
the affected user will not see it and not know about its
presence. In both cases, the affected user's printed copy
will print with the watermark on it.
I have racked my brain trying to solve this one.. checked
their normal and other template files, replaced these
files with known copies that macro worked on,checked all
their Word settings to make sure they were correct,
repaired and re-installeed Office and same result exists
for this user. Can anybody give me any suggestion as to
what might be causing this and how to fix it? Tag: Creation of a Document Tag: 42751
Error 5121 - Cant open template via Active X
Hi all,
I'm having a bit of a prob with Office 2K when trying to open a word

If i pass a URL of a word template location to the word application to open
it returns the error 5121, cant find the document. If i pass the same url to

Using a previous procedure event
How do I call or dim an event from a previous procedure in
a userform? I am using userforms, and the user will click
on a button to open another window, and in that window
they will click another button, and finally, in the last
window they will click another button that initiates code
that goes out finds bookmarked text and plops it into a
textbox adjacent to the first button in the first
userform. I would like the code under the final
commanbutton to determine which original button was
clicked and insert the text appropriately. Here is what I
have so far:
Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Set source = Documents.Open("C:\Documents and
Settings\Logue\My Documents\Allied
Title\exceptions\exceptions.doc")
(this is where the bookmarked text is located)
If Userform3.ExceptionsButton1_Click Then
(my attempt to tell say if the button was clicked in
userform3, which is the starting place of this whole
event, then the following code will take place)
Userform3.TextBox8.Text = source.Bookmarks
("Chapter1_1").Range
End If
(and if it was clicked, then it moves on to this next bit
of code and so on)
If Userform3.ExceptionsButton3_Click Then
Userform3.TextBox4.Text = source.Bookmarks
("Chapter1_1").Range
End If
and it goes on...
Right now it's either doing nothing or inserting code in
every textbox on the original userform. Any suggestions
are welcome.

OLE object model
I have written a VB program to read Word documents using Word.Application. The problem is that it is extremely slow. My program is simply looping through the paragraphs in the main story in a sample Word document and writing them to a text file. I am running Windows XP Professional on a 2.2 GHz Dell system with Word 2000. My test file is 77 KB, of which the main story object is about half of the file size. It takes 9 minutes to loop through the 262 paragraphs and output them to a text file. Am I doing something wrong that it should take so long?
To put it in perspective, my program also includes the capability to convert WordPerfect documents. If this were a WordPerfect file, this same conversion to a text file would take 10-20 seconds at the most.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thank you! Tag: Creation of a Document Tag: 42740

Rename all bookmarks
I need a short macro that will rename every bookmark in
the active document by adding "X_" to the beginning of
the name. For example, if a bookmark is called OS121203a
it will rename it X_OS121203a. It will do this for every
bookmark in the current document.
I assume the macro would use the line "For Each
objBookmark In ActiveDocument.Bookmarks" but I cannot
work out the string manipulation functions to add the
extra X_ to the front of the bookmark name. Could anyone
help?

WordObject visibility issue
Hey all,
I am not sure if this has been asked before, so i am asking again.
The intention to read an xml file and create a MSWord file with
appropriate pieces of data with different formattings. I wrote the whole
program and for debugging purposes, i set the visibility of the word
object to be true. Once the functionality was in place i set the
visibility to false and the formatting stated going haywire. The only
way formatting works correctly is when i set the visibility to true. Any
pointer as to what am i doing wrong ?
I am using wordbasic (word 95) commands and instead of adding a
reference to MSWord i am using CreateObject (i hope that would make it
work for different versions of MSWord and i wont have to bundle the dll).

How to perform a split (with a split bar) programmatically?
Hi all,
Current scenario:
1. I have a document (document1) with English text
2. I have a translation macro assigned to button1
3. I press button1 which will translate document1 to Swedish in document2.
Now, I would like document1 and document2 to position themselves adjacently
like this:
+-----------+
| document1 |
+-----------+
| document2 |
+-----------+
or
+-----------+-----------+
| document1 | document2 |
+-----------+-----------+
with as little of decoration (toolbars, rules and stuff) around them as
possible.
Can this be done programmatically, i.e, is there support for doing this as
the last step in my translation macro?

Insert several html files into word
Hi,
Is there somebody who would have an answer to this problem?
I would like to insert automatically in a Word document several HTML files.
These files are in a network directory.
If I do this manually, I go to "Insert" then "Files", then look for HTML
files and finally Ok, then start again for a new one and so on ...
The code could be something like this (but I would like to take all the
*.htm files .):
Sub InsertHtml()
'
Selection.InsertFile FileName:="\\SERVER\Directory\Dir1\info.htm",
Range:="", _
ConfirmConversions:=False, Link:=False, Attachment:=False
End Sub
The user should also give the directory target where all the HTML files are.
Any help ?
Thanks in advance.

Word 2000 vs 97: User Forms Modal?
Can anyone tell me if there was a change from Word97 to Word2000, where when
I create a User Form and have it Shown, it will always be Modal?
In Word2000, I can have my User Form loaded on top of my Document and I am
able to click around in the Document making changes or if I want to debug my
VBA code, I am able to step (F8) through my code and watch the changes take
place on my document. However, in Word97, with the exact same form and
code, I am not able to do this - the User Form appears to be Modal. I am
unable to click anywhere in my document - focus is always on the UserForm.

Append a template several times to a document
Hi I'm new to Word Automation and would need some help
I have a template with bookmarks I would like to append several times
to my main document.
Here is what i try to do, question is in "Do... Loop" statement.
Dim oWordApp As New Word.ApplicationClass
Dim oMainDoc As Word.DocumentClass
Dim oTemplate As Word.DocumentClass
oMainDoc = oWordApp.Documents.Add()
oTemplate = oWordApp.Documents.Add("c:\\test\\template.dot")
oMainDoc.Activate()
Do
' First I update the bookmarks on my oTemplate
' Then I want to append it's complete content to oMainDoc
' But how do I do that???
' I know I could save oTemplate to a temp document
' and then use
' oWordApp.Selection.InsertFile("temp_document_fullpath")
' But think there must be a better way of doing it
' If I only wanted the text in the template I could
' use
' oWordApp.Selection.TypeText(oTemplate.Content.Text())
' But I want it complete with all styles, tables and stuff
Loop While foo = 1

doc.close causing application to quit
background: In access, I'm looping through a recordset to

doc.close, my Word object becomes 'unhinged'
here's a snippet of code:
Dim objWord As Word.Application
Dim objDoc As Word.Document 'Document Object
Set objWord = CreateObject("Word.Application")
While Not rsSource.EOF
set objDoc = objWord.Documents.Add
' skipping actual formfield populating code
objDoc.saveAs strFilename
objDoc.close

watching the local variables, I see objWord = "Microsoft

If I add objWord.Visible = True
I can even see my documents being populated and then when
closing the doc, Word app itself also quits.
I've even tried opening up a second temporary doc so that
it'll stick around but with Visible=True, I see that both
docs get closed.
Any help would be appreciated.

inserting HTML in word
Hi all,
I am trying to figure out how to write some string "as HTML" In word using
vbscript. For instance, if you copy some formatted html from IE and then do
a past in word, it shows up as Formatted HTML with the tags rendered
properly. I want to manually build an HTML string and render it to the
document so that it displays as rendered HTML and not the "<tag> text <tag>"
raw HTML.
I am stuck on this for quite some time. I am building the word document

last bit working. I've scoured VBA articles(I've mostly ported VBA examples
to vbscript for the project so far).

Word 2000: TypeParagraph causes Font to Change
Does anyone know how I can issue a .TypeParagraph on my selection object
without having the font change to my Default Font?
I have a template where I am inserting text into the document. In my
Template, the entire document has been formatted to use Arial font.
However, my Default Font is "Times New Roman" for my Microsoft Word (Select
Format/Font from the main menu).
My sample code is below:
With Selection
' Enter some dummy text - the font is Arial at this point
.TypeText Text:="This font is Arial"
' Now issue a new paragraph - just like pressing the ENTER key
.TypeParagraph
' Now my Font is my default font - Times New Roman
.TypeText Text:="Now my font is Times New Roman, NOT Arial"
End With
Why is my font changing? If I go into blank document and start typing my
sample text with Arial font, and press the ENTER key, my font does not
change, why is it changing here when I issue the .TypeParagraph?
According to the following MSDN article on the TypeParagraph,
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/office97/html/output/F1/D4/S5ADCE.asp,
"This method corresponds to the functionality of the ENTER key". Has
something changed from Office97 to Office 2000? Tag: Creation of a Document Tag: 42578
FileSearch macro returning incorrect docs?
I have a macro in an Excel workbook that takes the values in certain cells
to create a search string. The macro then searches all the Word docs in a
single folder for docs containing that string. Normally it works well -
normally, though, I use only single words. Today, however, I used phrases,
and the search returned two documents that didn't fit what I thought my
criteria were!
I stepped through this and moused over my variables, and they all looked
correct. In cell E9, I had "Blackbox Code: 1.9" - this is the one that
caused the false returns. One document had "Blackbox Code: 1.7.9.2", which
I guess is close; the other had "Blackbox Code: 1.3.5" - it did not contain
"1.9" anywhere! One of the other cell values was "XM/SC Class: ABD", and it
gave me no problems. Additional note: the three variables were put in the
search string with ANDs.
If anyone can make suggestions on improving this code to keep this from
happening again, I would be most grateful.
