    - Question about Tables I have Word 2000 and have made a document using tables for my personal codes and passwords used on the computer. This document is 5 colums wide and uses as many rows as needed to fill a page. Then it goes on to the next page in the same format. I'd like to remove the table outlines and revert this document to a straight page written format. I've tried several ways to do this by making a copy of the pages and working with the borders and shading and table delete tabs with no real luck. Can someone please give me the exact path to simply get rid of all the lines that make up the tables on this document so I then can see what's written there without the tables being visible?     - Mailing Labels grief Here's the problem: Started with a table to allow for 8 - 2.5" x 4" labels in 2 columns with narrow margins between labels. Each label also includes a table row for return address and one for address. (Just like Avery 5163.) Now enter a return address and a mailing address in the top left cells (formatted center/center). And for a finishing touch insert an auto shape (rectangle with rounded corners) in the return cell. Format the auto shape for hor/vert center, full transparency. As soon as I drag the shape into a cell, the text jumps to the top of the cell. Nothing I do to shape or text will remedy the situation. As soon as I drag the shape away again the text jumps back to the center of the cell. This was going to be quick and dirty but is turning into a frustration. actions of the reader on the other side. I have tried this in the past and I
always seem to have the first column wrap into the second column. I want to
keep the column independent of each other. Any help

G'Day Robert,

The columns you have been using are 'newspaper' columns.

For 'parallel' columns us a two column table. Remove the borders and
move the centre 'divider' to give the column widths that suit.
