I'm trying to use the Speech tool.

I just bought a microphone with headset. I plugged it in (in the correct
spot).

But nothing happens. When I run Speech it asks me to talk into the
microphone and a dial is supposed to be moving to show the sound change.
Nothing seems to happen.

Any ideas? Perhaps I need to do something to install this microphone?
I have XP.

You might have to do some trouble-shooting on your sound-card within
Windows. Suggest posting to the Windows XP hardware NG as another avenue.

Never mind. Found the problem and resolved it.

It is fun using the speech tool, but it doesn't seem to work all that well!
