Retaining sender address for envelope printing
I currently use Word 2003 (office 2003) with Office XP-SP2. I print
envelopes every day using Word 2003. At the end of the day, I clean all
garages with "CCleaner". Whenever I sweep with CCleaner, sender's
address is also removed. I find it very inconvenient. My question is how
to keep sender's address after cleaning with CCleaner. On the left side of
the pane under CCleaner program, there is a Cleaner setting. I feel that if
I click one of those items, I might keep it. Could someone advise me which

Copy macros from Normal.dot to another template for distribution
We need to distribute the spell checking macro and toolbar to users in other
areas of the company. The macro shows up under all active Templates and the
Normal.dot template, but when I try to use the organizer to copy it from
Normal.dot to another template, the macro doesn't show up. Any idea what I
am doing wrong?

Problem Inserting Headers and Footers
Hi All,
I have a problem with a large word doc in Word 2003. There are no section
breaks in the document as I have deleted them all. The document has a title
page, contents page and then the actual document.
When I select View > Header and Footer - nothing happens - it is as though
the headers and footers have somehow been deleted from my document (or
something).
A couple of revisions earlier I had them - I can't find any reason why or
where they have gone.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Lost Recently Used File List in File Menu
Hi. Windows XP Home, Pentium 4, 1 GB, Word 2003
Realized with a start today that the "Recently Used File List"
option has disappeared from File Menu. I depend heavily
on it.
Double checked Tools > Options > General and the
"Recently Used File List" option is enabled and 9 files
are specified in the list box.
Manually opened a couple of existing Word documents,
slightly modified them, saved them, and Closed Word.
Reopened Word hoping to see the Recently Used File List
had reappeared, and would show the two documents in
the list. No joy! Darn.
Any ideas on how to reclaim this valuable File List option

Graphic & Envelope
I have put my logo graphic on to an envelope in Word 2000... but when I print
it.... it never prints on the envelope...the envelope usually prints on a
regular sheet of paper... the graphic and addresses print fine on the regular
sheet of paper... but they never print on the envelope... Sometimes the
envelope passes through the printer & gets the addresses only without the
graphic... and other times nothing shows up on the envelope at all....but

Recordset MoveNext Problem. Please Help.

I having a problem with using the recordset .MoveNext in access.
I have a form and using Combo Box to select and update data to certain
table. But i having a problem with using .MoveNext function. Eventhough i
able to detect the location where the data should be updated. When i use the
.MoveNext Function to access it, it always updated the wrong row of data.
Can anyone advice how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Page number position
I have a long document with various margins and several sections. I am
trying to achieve the following:
1. No page number or heading on even pages where there is NO TEXT.
2. Page numbers in the first 5 sections to be cantered but in the last
sections to be on the outside edge, again with no header or page numbers on
blank even pages.
The help files say the page break formatting is for the PRECEDING section,
but it seems to set up the following section. I really could use some

How to identify and remove dotted line.
Using MS Word 2000 and in one of my letters I have a dotted line (or can
make several appear as I move text).
I can see it in normal print and web layout views. Also in Print Preview.
I can 'select' it and move it a limited distance up and down the text, it
goes as wide as the text (between margins). But what I can't seem to do is
remove the dash thing.
What is it? and how can I delete it?

Font Reduces in Word when Printing on A5
I am trying to help one of our senior members here with a problem that he is
having. i.e.
Joe.
I am writing a letter on M.S. Word and want to print that on size A5.
The printing is no problem but the print size come up so small it is hardly
readable. How can I overcome that? The size is even smaller than this.
I did advise him to go into File/Page Setup/Paper and change the size to A5
but that didn't resolve his problem.

down the bottom to switch between them, similar to what Excel has with it's

A Template/Macro problem
I have created a template with several Ask fields, bookmarked in a number of
locations throughout the document . On my computer, an AutoNew macro updates
all the bookmarks upon filling the data into the Ask field boxes.
I moved the template into a shared location on a network and had 22 people
set up their Workgroups templates to beable to use the template. Up to this
point everything worked perfectly. Then,
I needed to furnish the template to about 100 people who are not network
users and are located in far flung locations. I addressed this by e-mailing
the template. Ask fields and bookmarks are maintained with no problem but
the macro disappears. I am at a total loss to explain why the macro
disappears, upon e-mailing the template file.
Please, a bit of advice would be most useful.

Word 2003, always goes to top of page
When I minimize Word 2003 and then bring it back, the page view always
goes to the top of the page on which I was working, not the point in the
page where I was working.
Is there a place in one of the 101,378 options settings where I can
change this?

Multiple inappropriate spacing
Word 2002, SP-3
A user often hits the spacebar multiple times between words, 3-4 times
sometimes. The spell checker does not catch those spaces as being
incorrect. What is a good way to have Word remove these inappropriate
spaces automatically? The user does not want to have to do a Find/Replace

word makes crazy page breakes
in a large document, I experience that word 2003 automaticly makes a page
break right before a new paragraph - when I don't want it to!! sometimes I
can succed in getting the text back on the right page, but offen it is only
possible, if I make like 5-10 blank lines (by pressing return) It can be,
that it makes a pagebreak after only 4 lines of text.
Pleace help- it is a important report that has to look it's best!

INFORMATION ABOUT FONTS - ADDITIONAL
Just to be clear - when I right click a word I still get a menu that allows
me to select FONT and this has a 3 tabbed dialog box showing FONT,
Character Spacing and Animation. The feature I am talking about gave lots
of additional stuff about the font, who designed it, whether it may be
embedded in documents etc.

INFORMATION ABOUT FONTS
I use Word 97 and use to have a feature that gave (on right clicking a word)
lots of information about the font types. This feature appears to have
vanished into the aether. As far as I recall it was a Microsoft thingy.
Anyone know what I am talking about and if so where I can obtain it again?

view format & track changes- use default setting instead of how document was saved? (W2003)
I sometimes get documents from co-workers where (when I open them) the view
is something different that what I normally use (normal vs print layout),
and sometimes the track changes bar comes up when a document is opened too.
I'd like for every document I open to open in print layout view (regardless
of how the previous person saved it) and always come up without the track
changes bar (we tend to use other methods of version control).
Is there a way for me to set up my Word2003 installation to "override" any
settings saved in the document?

and a footer on all pages. How do I do this?
I setup the first page header, but where and how do I find the subsequent
page headers? The template has only one page. I don't see where I can add or
insert pages.
Lastly, if I create a document(s) from one template, then later edit that
template, will the changes propogate through all docs or do I need to update
in some way?

Way back machine
Hello group,
I would like to take you all on a journey back to the year 1995 and talk
about the product that is known as Word 95 or some also called it Word 7.0
. I still use it, that's right, on my home computer because it is small,
fast, uncluttered, no cartoon people or objects popping up at you, and
reliable. I don't share Word documents with anyone, I just use it to
store documents that mean something to me and are only for my use, so I
don't really need to upgrade.
My question is this, using XP Home running Word 95, is their any type of
anything that I can use, or install, or copy, or paste, or change, or add
to make the auto scroll wheel on a mouse work with Word 95. I am quickly
getting tired of having to use the up/down scroll buttons to navigate
through a document and would like to be able to use the scroll wheel like
you can with Word 97, etc...

Word document protection
Hi
I would like to protect a Word document so that it is not possible for a
recipient to be able to eiterh copy and paste or file>save as the document.
This is because there maybe text or pictures that I do not want to be
copied.
I've taken a look as password read-only protection but this still enables
the recipient to file>save as.
