Whenever I try to open more than one document at a time in
Word XP I get multiple copies of Word opening instead of
just a new window in Word. I am using Office XP and
Windows XP. This only happens in Word. I use Excel quite
often and I am still able to open multiple docs in Excel
with no problem.

Cass:

I found this annoying at first, too, but it turns out to be much more
convenient than the old way, because you can quickly switch among open
documents using Alt-Tab, and all of your docs are displayed separately on
the Task Bar. Another response to your post tells you how to get rid of this
feature, but might I suggest you use it for a while and see if you don't
like it better.
