i put a hyperlink, and when i click it, a notice say "This operation has been
canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your
system administrator?" Any idea how can i get rid of it?

It could be that you really do have a Group Policy that prevents Word from
launching hyperlinks:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;278839
If you need to look for the Group Policy items mentioned in the article,
open the Start menu > Run box and type in "gpedit.msc", then press Enter.
Follow the directions in "More Information".

Or you could need an Office service pack or hotfix:

i tried what you said but when i press ok a notice said "Windows cannot find
'gpedit.msc.'" i have a vista os

I didn't realize it, but most versions of Vista don't include the
Group Policy editor. Apparently MS decided that only geeks like me
should be allowed to shoot themselves in the foot. :-)

You can probably forget about it, though, because it's extremely
unlikely that you have a policy that's causing your problem (unless
you're in a company with an IT group that decided to muck with your
setup).

Did you look at the other two articles?

I also have that message in all office 2007 applications.
I have vista and IE 7 Using administator account.
One of the links posted suggest editing parts of the registry but i am
unsure how to add microsoft as a trust. Can somebody please tell provide
step-by-step instructions the information in this link :
