equation 3.0

Hey. I dont know how to get equation 3.0 on my word program. i printed out
the directions but when i put in the CD and then go to control panel and try
to add or remove the program it wont let me go into it and add equation 3.0.
please help! its not under insert object

From Windows Control panel add or remove progrogams, locate and select the
Word or Office entry then click 'change'.
From the next dialog box choose add or remove features from the next dialog
box select Word and check the box for advanced customisation. The Equation
editor is in the Office Tools section.Check it to Run from My Computer.
