Normally the way one gets a new page in Word is to continue typing until you
are on the new page. You can also format your paragraph to have a page break
before. Format > Paragraph.
Documents in Word do not include templates, they might include tables. They
would be attached to a template.
If you attempt to type at the end of page 8 and you are bumped elsewhere for
typing, that tells me that you are probably dealing with a document that is
protected for forms. Another possibility is that you have a large graphic
behind your text.
