    - Two Column styles on one page Is there a way to have a page in a word doc with 2 columns in the top half of the page and one column on the bottom half. The example int the help pages shows it with one column top and two on the bottom. I was able to get that to work. Every time I tried two on top, one on the bottom, the text split very wierdly.     - Template locations - Word 2003 OS XP Pro Not really a new user but transitioning from 2000 to 2003. 2003 Help says that if you put a template in the Templates folder, it will be an item in the General tab, and that if you create a daughter folder in Templates a separate tab will be created.     - Can't see header User just got Word 2002. She has template created in Word 2000 which contains a header. The header is a graphic image - a scan of a letterhead. The template also has a footer which is a page number and text that is manually typed in. The problem is that the header is not visible in Print Layout. I have successfully located the options for designating Heading 1 as the Chapter and I have no problem getting this to show with the page number (1-1) in the footer.     - Indexing Problem I have a .txt file - it is a book. I have another file - it is a list of keywords I want to index in the book. The keyword can have a few words separated by space. All keywords are sorted in descending order - there are no duplicates. Here is my problem: If a keyword is "book" and another is keyword "book about VBA" - because the keywords are sorted by descending order, first in the file will be "book about VBA" and will be indexed. Then "book" comes and indexes "book about VBA". How to tell VBA not to index words that are already indexed, that means do not index the word "book" in "book about VBA".     - Styles (numbered list) keeps changing ! Hi, In a DOC, I have these numbered list. My first list uses a numbered list (say from 1 to 6). I then have some normal text that follows and then another numbered list. The 2nd list I want should be numbered also from 1 to 6 or 7. ? Word Automatically starts this list at 7. I then go to the first number and click re-start numbering. It does that but indents to the left the first number.......!!!!!!!     - Header/Footer Area Not Seen Foolish question, but I can't seem to sort it and it's annoyning. My normal viw is page layout. Normally, the header and footer areas of pages always appeared when I opened a doc. Recently, I've just seen the text area -- no header/footer.     - Word 2003 - Markup I have a document that every time I open it up, it opens in MARKUP view. It is easy to turn off the markup view and continue to work and then to save the document. The issue is that the next time I go to the document to open it, it opens up again in MARKUP view.     - Header in Template doesn't show I installed Office 2003 in my desktop and set up a template for a letterhead in a header. I just installed 2003 on my laptop and put the letterhead.dot file from the desktop in the appropriate folder on the laptop. On the desktop, when I File/New and choose the letterhead template, it shows the header. It does not do that on the laptop. To see the header I have to View/Header and Footer to have it appear on the screen. It is the same template on both machines so there must be a setting in Word somewhere that will automatically display the header without having to use View. Will someone please tell me how to go about getting the header to display automatically? I've Googled the problem and consulted Word Help but can't find the answer. Thank you very much.     - ADJUST VERTICAL RULER Some how I have adjusted the vertical ruler, so that all text starts from the very top of the page and ends at the very bottom. Not sure how I have done this? I've produced a custom lable with the Person A account to print out lables. When Person B signs on to the computer and opens up Document A on the server, Person B cannot use the custom lablel that Person A has made. Obviously doing a search and replace for "Name : Blah" would be pointless as it's going to change every new form. Now every time I do this the entire document changes to the new style, which is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking that every *section* of the data above has a different style sheet, so "Name : Blah" would be Style 1. "Area : Blah2" would be Style 2, "Region : Blah3" would be Style 3 and so on. I have Word 2002 and had a WordCount button on the Standard Toolbar, which I
dragged there sometime in the past.

I have now moved it to the Shortcut Menu and would like to have it in both
places, but am unable to do it. I can move it from one place to the other
but the AddRemoveButtons/Customize/Commands/AllCommands does not have a
WordCount that I can add to the shortcut menu in
AddRemoveButtons/Customize/ToolBars/ShortcutMenu/Text/Text.

I hope I explained my problem properly.

Can you help, please?

Hi Peter

Use Tools > Customize, as you must already have done. To copy a button from
one toolbar to another, hold down ctrl while you drag. You'll see the cursor
changes to show a + sign to indicate that the button will be copied, not
moved.
