I have office 2003 and it was fine until I changed some of the use
settings..

even though I have my page settings set to have a 1 inch margin a
the top the cursor starts at the evry top of the page each time when
open a new document..see my picture for a better idea what I am talkin
about. If i choose to view the header and footer..and then close th
header and footer it puts the cursor back where i feel it should be
bout an inch from the top...

'EXAMPLE OF MY PROBLEM

any help here would be graetly appreciated..I even tried reinstallin
office completely but i must have missed some settings folder cause i
started right back after i reinstalled..

thanks in advance.

From the Tools menu, select Options and then go to the View tab and check
the "White space between pages (Print view only)" box under the Print and
Web Layout options section of the dialog.
