Is it a Virus?

Whe I type into a word document and type the word "or"
then space the "or" changes to a sentence which I can't
remember right now since it took so long to find help.
When I type the word "and" it gives me another question.
I can not use the words "or" and "and". Is this a virus?
This just started happening. I dont know how to tell what
version I am running but it is a Windows 98 operating
system.

I don't think it is a virus. Word has a lot of automatic features that try
to "help" you and frankly, sometimes they are TOO helpful! Try looking at

I agree with Suzanne. It indeed sounds like your
AutoCorrection feature is kicking in for "or" and "and."
