(W2003) I sometimes get documents from co-workers where (when I open them) the view is something different that what I normally use (normal vs print layout), and sometimes the track changes bar comes up when a document is opened too. I'd like for every document I open to open in print layout view (regardless of how the previous person saved it) and always come up without the track changes bar (we tend to use other methods of version control).     - Way back machine Hello group, I would like to take you all on a journey back to the year 1995 and talk about the product that is known as Word 95 or some also called it Word 7.0 . I still use it, that's right, on my home computer because it is small, fast, uncluttered, no cartoon people or objects popping up at you, and reliable. I don't share Word documents with anyone, I just use it to store documents that mean something to me and are only for my use, so I don't really need to upgrade. My question is this, using XP Home running Word 95, is their any type of anything that I can use, or install, or copy, or paste, or change, or add to make the auto scroll wheel on a mouse work with Word 95. I am quickly getting tired of having to use the up/down scroll buttons to navigate through a document and would like to be able to use the scroll wheel like you can with Word 97, etc...     - Character limit Hello Everyone, Using word 2000. I am working on a project and each line can't have more than 60 characters including spaces (a space is = to a character). I can see the number of characters in my status bar because I am using a table and it appears that the Col number is equal to characters. I have added a column at the end of my table and am manually entering the number of characters.     - Scrolling issue in long document I have a long document (about 250 pages), and most of it has no problems. However, there is a section near the beginning that drives me crazy. Whenever I try to scroll through it, either using arrow keys, page up / down, or the mouse wheel, the scrolling action works differently. Instead of quickly scrolling entire lines, individual words seem to get moved, so I'm "stuck" in this section for a looong time as I scroll-wheel or arrow-key through it.     - Keeping hyperlinked text bold when pasting into e-mail I have hyperlinked text in Word. It's bold. I copy it into an Outlook Express e-mail, and it turns into regular (non-bold). This appears to be a built in feature of OE, that it treats bold hyperlinked text as non-bold. This makes sense for most purposes.
