Tally marks

Is there a way to enter tally marks in Word?

(Tally marks are the pattern of strokes that are used to keep a coun
of a given event.

1 = a single vertical stroke
2 = two vertical strokes
3 = three vertical strokes
4 = four vertical strokes
5 = four vertical strokes with a diagonal line through them

If you're using a Tablet PC, you could do it in Word 2002/2003 with ink.

Otherwise you could write some VBA to simulate it with drawing shapes.
