I am unable to to use the 'Print Screen' function in MS Word XP and
then <ctl-v> or Edit -> Paste and place the screenshot into Word. I
can paste that same 'Print Screen' into Powerpoint and Paint. I have
read many postings, but have not found the answer.

I do not have Picture Placeholders box checked. Anybody? I need some
help.

Hi Miamatt@gmail.com,

this sounds very much like an Add-in interfering with Word's basic
behavior. Adobe's Add-in is notorious for "nastiness". The other
day, a similar problem was resolved by disabling the Works Suite
Add-in...

Check the Registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Office/Word/Add-ins

Back up the entire key. Set the LoadBehavior for each entry to 0
(zero) and see if the problem goes away. If it does, reset
one-by-one to the original until you narrow down the culprit.
