    - Downloading MS Office Hi all! This is actually an Office 2007 question but seeing as there are no categories here for just Office I have placed it here in the MS Word category. I downloaded MS Home and Student Office Suite 2007 trial some time ago. I subsequently bought the full version. I need to reinstall it on a new PC. Where can I re-download the files from? I have no reference point anywhere in the emails I received when I bought the product. When I duplex print, the page of text following the first page prints on the reverse of the first page. I had wanted that to be the next odd page, with the page number set to 1.     - PREVENTING FOREIGN STYLES COMING INTO WORD Hello Team, I have created some templates for our staff to use and everything works very well. None of the styles are auto update and they are based on "no other style" which means I update each end every one individually if I need to. Thats the way I want it. What I can't do is prevent users from bringing in external styles when they "cut & paste" stuff into the documents. Pretty soon the styles area looks like a shambles with all sorts of styles that I have not created. I'd like people to be able to paste text in, and despite me telling them to convert their source to "TEXT ONLY" before pasting, they want to preserve their original tables, drawings and other items, so they still manage to inundate the styles panel with rubbish.     - Two versions of Office on the same computer... Hello, I am running Vista and am having problems with Word. It opens but I do not get a cursor. I had Office 2007 Basic, which came pre-installed on my computer. Needing Powerpoint, which Office Basic does not have, I also purchased and installed Office Home and Student edition. I also installed a another product that I use to create PDF files. This was working for a while, then I ran into problems with it and had to uninstall/re-install. When uninstalling my PDF creator software, Word threw up an error message saying "Word has encountered a problem". Since then Word will open but I can never get a cursor, I can't type anything. I do know that the pdf software does install/remove an add-in to Word. But now, even with the pdf creator software removed, Word still doesn't work. Is it OK to have both version of Office installed?     - My Right Margin is Misbehaving Windows XP Word 2000 For years whenever I opened a new document and looked at the horizontal ruler, I saw a shaded area which started between the numbers 6 and 7 and extended to the right. "Help" tells me that I can select the text I want to include and click the ADD TEXT option.     - online dictionary and translator I have changed my PC unit recently and I used to have a service with word that I relied heavily on. I do a lot of translations and I used this window...you right click on the word and ask for synonym, translation or a definition of the word. I have no idea how I got to find this facility to connect with internet, but it used to go direct to as series of choices, thesaurus, online dictionary or encyclopedia or whatever. Now what I have is a very poor model of it, probably what I already have on the computer... Can anyone tell me how to connect again to this service? It was appearing automatically.     - Numbering Labels Hi All, I want to number a lot of labels (800). I want to use Avery label 5109. They are on a 4x6 sheet of paper, 9 row with five columns (two columns separate the three labels that are actually printed on). So, there are 27 labels. I'm new to Word and need to get something out ASAP so if I could get step-by-step instructions rather than being referred to a website (although I could read the website later), I would really appreciate it. I want to number the labels starting with 1811 and then have each label automatically numbered after that. What I am thinking is that I create a page number in column 1 row 1 starting at 1811, but then how do I get the rest of the labels to get numbered (without numbering the 2nd and fourth column)? Should I be creating a different kind of file/template/macro with a nextrecord command, again avoiding columns 2 and 4? This seems really complicated. In WordPerfect each label is considered a new page so I could create a page number, hit ctrl enter, and have the next label numbered consecutively (although I'm not sure how I'd deal with the 2nd and 4th column again).     - Addressing envelopes I'm completely bewildered. Using Word 2003 I get the addresses for envelopes from Outlook Contacts. There I type the names in identical fashion, ie Mr John Smith. But when I get the addresses in Word, some keep the Mr and others omit it. In "File as" in Contacts, some offer the Mr and some do not. Even if I type in the missing Mr it doesn't necessarily appear in Word. What on earth is going on and please how can I rectify matters?     - saving word 2007 files My office just installed some new pc's running Vista w/sp1 and office 2007 into a Windows Server 2003 domain. Users creating documents in Word 2007 are unable to save documents to our file server ( in word 2003 format) and receive a message that "\\<server name>\<folder name>\file name cannot be found.     - vista rescueddoc corrupted with bunch of ??? I heed help. It's been a week in trying to save this document. I was working off a flashdrive and went to save the work. A message appeared saying something about having to shut the program and it would save my document. The original document disappered fron the flashdrive. Only an empty shortcut key remained and the rescued document that opened in wordpad. Out of the original document only part of the written text survived the rest were question marks. I figure it has something to do with the fact that I had written some of the text using word for apple 2004. Maybe... I've tried all the basic stuff, saving as RTF and converting back to word, savind as web, recover text from any file, etc. All I've gotten is different symbols instead of the question marks. Select the item you wish to include as an autotext entry and press ALT+F3
just as in earlier versions. You can delete it from Insert > Quick Parts >
Building Blocks Organizer.
