I am using Microsoft Word 20002.

I have just completed a document and set the martins as follows:

Top 2"
Right and Left 1 1/2"
Bottom 1"

When I try to print the document, I get the following error message:

"The margins of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page. Do
you want to continue?"

In print preview, the document clearly does not fill the page and is
completelly withing the specified margins.

What causes this, and how can I correct it?

What happens if you cancel the error and continue to print?

It prints in a much smaller font. Everything is on the page, but the font
size looks like it's about 8 or 10 rather than the specified 12.

In Print Preview the document displays perfectly.

I have tried copying everything except the last paragraph mark (this I
thought was supposed to leave all the formattinng behind) and then pasting
this into a new document, choosing to "Match Destiination Formatting", it
still gives the same error message..

The scaling suggests that you may have Track Changes enabled, or comments in
the document. The shrinking is to allow a wide margin for the "balloons."

Well, that's actually an entirely unrelated setting (or at least it should
be entirely unrelated), but...whatever works!
