Document is not appearing

I am using Word 2002. Everything worked fine until all of a sudden when I
try to open word documents nothing is there. I can open folders but when I
click on a document the upper border with the file name appears at the top
of the screen and the document button appears in the task bar but the
document doesn't appear. I click on the top X to close the document and
the top file name and the button on the task bar go away. What is causing
this? How can I fix it? I need help ASAP I use this in my business
continually.

I used the "Restore" feature in Windows XP and the problem was solved. I
still don't know how it happened.
