    - FACEID template no longer works now that I'm in Windows 2000 ... Don't know if this is a Windows 2000 or a Word question, so pls advise if I'm in the wrong ng. A few years back I dl the FACEID document from this webpage, http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CustomButtonImages.htm, or one similar. Since I dl, it worked fine all the time in Win98SE. In my new installation of Windows 2000, it doesn't work properly. I get a blank document labelled template1 but nothing shows up. If I change docts via the Window pulldown, it flickers on for a moment but then again disappears. At first I had thought it might be the macro security and so changed that to medium, but problem persists. Does anyone know where I can look for a solution to this problem?     - Printing an Attachment containing {FORMTEXT} I have a problem when printing an attachment received with an AOL e-mail. My PC uses WORD 2000 and Windows Me. The attachment contains the statement "This work will be performed at a fixed price of $123,456.00." Pressing ALT+F9 toggles that sentence between "This work will be performed at a fixed price of $123,456.00." and the sentence "This work will be performed at a fixed price of {FORMTEXT}. However, when the attachment is printed, the printed text reads "This work will be performed at a fixed price of $0.00." After the attempt to print the attachment, pressing ALT+F9 toggles the sentence between "This work will be performed at a fixed price of $0.00." and the sentence "This work will be performed at a fixed price of {FORMTEXT}. Several of my associates received the same e-mail and were able to print the attachment without a problem, i.e., with the price of $123,456.00. In case it matters, the following settings were observed when the attachment was first loaded: (1) Tools, Protect Document, in the Protect Document dialog box, " Tracked changes" was checked and "Comments" and "Forms" were not checked. (2) Tools, Options, Print Tab, under "Include with document" no blocks were checked. (3) Tools, Options, Print Tab, "Options for current document only", "Print data only for forms" was not checked.     - Weird line numbering Using Word 2003. We use line numbering extensively, and most of the time it works as advertised. However, sometimes when pasting a bulleted list into a table cell, the line numbers acquire bullets as well! Similarly with pasting numbered lists into a table cell -- the line numbers change from 1, 2, 3 to 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. Closing Word and re-opening it does not fix the problem. The only workaround I have found is to shutdown the machine and reboot it. Then the line numbering is restored to normal.     - Upgrading to WORD 2003 Hi, I bought a new computer a few months ago. It uses Windows XP. It came with a full version of MS Works 8 and a trial version of MS Office Standard.     - Updating Office 2003 problem? Greetings all, I tried to help my mother In Law update Word by telephone, and had no luck. It was a rough going over the phone, but it appears we were able to do all except the final step(s). When she clicked to start the update, she got a message in her browser saying that she needed ActiveX turned on (OUCH). We ALL learned the hard way about ActiveX, and no one in the family uses it anymore. In fact, some have switched to Open Office. Rather then get grandma up to speed on OO, we'd like to have her use WORD as she is familiar with it and several other of the Office programs. Is there anyway to update Office (2003) without using an ActiveX capable browser?? It was a very pricey software package, yet she has never updated it.....It seems odd that there is no other way to update WORD, but the help file doesn't give any other option(s).
