    - Hyperlink question I am creating a pdf to send as a newsletter. The title of the newsletter is also the title of our website. Not my actual site, but for example www.fishandchips.com.     - embbeding word document into an excell file I have a spreadsheet with an increasing number of rows (40) at present for each of the rows I need to embed a word document relating to each row of the document 1 doc per row. I have to email this daily to a partner who needs to be able to open the doc relating to the row in the spreadsheet. I have seen this before but just can not do it myself: I'd like the doc to just be a small icon that fits neatly into a cell without enlarging the rows too much, also it would be handy if possible that these icons are fixed and can not be moved or deleted by mistake.     - Woord 2000, headers and locking for edit. Hi all! Back again, I'm afraid. I'm editing a large document and some problems are troublking me. 1) I created a header in the usual way, and it worked. But now it has disapperaed under print layout (yes, I checked that) and does not print. And what's more I can't create a new one as clicking on headers and footers, while it works for other documents, now won 't work with this. 2) Occasionally, usually after an eror has occurred box (W98) I get document locked for edit when I try to load a document.     - how do i clear the clipboard? Can someone help me please! I am running word 2003 and i do alot of coping and pasting. Recently after the cope and paste action, the clipboard would not allow me copy a second item, it retains the first one even when i clear the clipboard, it would not go away but comes right back. To worsen the situation the clipboard started doing a screen capture by itself, such that when i open a blank page in word i find that there is something already on the clip board, if i paste this item it will be a screen capture of the blank page.     - Upgrading Word 2000 SR-1 I have Microsoft Works Suite 2001 with Word 2000 SR-1. I just coorected a bug, but before doing so had deleted Word 2000 then re-installed it using the CD. It would seem that I deleted any updates that I received since. I browsed the update section for Word 2000 SR-1 and noted several such as service paks SR-2 and another SR-3.     - Normal.dot and Virus Warning This is a strange one. Just installed Office 2003 on my new laptop. Old laptop was stolen :( At first everything was fine but now if I open Word, or a document in Word two things happen: 1: Everytime I close Word, no matter what, it asks to replace Normal.dot 2: Every document I open, or TRY to open, whether Word or any other Office app, I get a warning saying a virus program on my computer has detected a virus in that document and I am not allowed to open.     - Labels If I have one sheet of labels on my screen, how do I add extra sheets of labels? Each time I've tried it, the margins or the number of rows on the succeeding sheets are different from the first page. I know that your answer is mail merge and I do that as well.     - Word 2000 SR-1 Suddenly, I am unable to open Word. The template shows but freezes. So I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and another template shows with 3 buttons "Stop", "NO". "Cancel". It promts with the statement "System dangerously low on resources". I hit "Stop" oe "END" forget exact wording. It just freezes, so I do a shutdown and reboot. This is very recent. I tried inserting the CD for Wrod and tried the repair function, which didn't work. So removed the program and re-installed, and that failed too.     - Envelopes In Win2K and Word 2000 I was able to go to Tools, then Envelopes etc and get the list of addresses from MS Contacts. Recently I had to change to XP and Word 2003 and can no longer do this. I use Thunderbird as my default Mail client, but Word now gives 2 Error Messages telling me 1) that I must set MS Contacts as my default mail client and 2) that I must log on to MS Exchange to access my address book, but I cannot find this. I have a handful of very irritating problems and would be gald of your expert answers. 1 What are the little black squares in several places in (someone else's) documents? Then when I update the field, the "This is an " disappears completely. To work around this, I discovered that a comma does not get swallowed, so I type a comma before the XYZ, then go back and input before the comma, so This is an ,[XYZ] then go back yet again and delete the comma. However, this is a little annoying. Is there a way to stop fields from automatically swallowing and then destroying my input? Also, what is the purpose of this function? Personally, I like courses designed by ElementK. They have online
courses that you can take, as well as courseware which includes CD's
which contain exercises to perform. I think you can probably find
quite a few companies by performing a Google Search on Word Training.
I would narrow your results by those who offer Microsoft User
Specialist certifications though, because that will be the better test
to take to ensure you understand how to use Word.
