Go to Tools | Macro | Security and change the security level to Medium. The
immediate result will be that instead of getting the "Macros are disabled"
message, you'll get a dialog allowing you to enable them if you choose.
You can probably avoid even that if you also check "Trust all installed
templates and add-ins" on the Trusted Sources tab. This covers all template
folders and Word's Startup folder.
Unfortunately, the trust does not extend to the Office Startup folder, but
there will probably be a check box in the dialog that allows you to "Trust
all add-ins from this source," which you can use for add-ins from, say,
Adobe.
