Hi all,

I have recently migrated my users from NT4 server to
Server 2003. The server 2003 acts as a file and print
server as well. Users were using WinNT4 workstations with
Office 97 and XP workstations with Office 2000.

The problem I have encountered was that whenever a user
tried to open a Word document, it will take very long for
the document to open up. It doesn't happen to the XP
users.

By the way, I have tried applying Service Release 2 on the
Office 97 as well as knowledge base 167081 but it still
doesn't work.

Please help. Thanks.

This is probably the document looking for its original template. If the
templates have been relocated to a different Path/Folder when you upgrade
the server, the document will look for the template. Take a look at a
document use File, Open, Recover Text from Any File and see if there is an
obvious template that it needs.
