No, this does not help.
We've found that the problem occurs when opening the document, but not if
you create a new document and insert the older (possibly corrupted?) one.
There does seem to be some sort of issue with page 29, which has multiple
graphics overlayed onto one another.
We can view it ok with word viewer, but this page, even when we try the
"insert" trick, will cause Word to crash.
Does Word have a repair document utility or feature?
