From the overwhelming wealth of information you posted, ;-), I would guess
that you have not activated your Office product or you are finished with the
trial period of the trial version.

....but what?
I guess that if you can't get a joke, I am going to have to be blunt...

You need help, but you are not helping yourself.
We whould not have to "beat" basic information out of you... such as... What
Word version? How long have you had this problem for? Anything new with your
computer set up? How are you trying to create/save files? How about opening
existing files, does that work?

Hi, this problem seems to be common and it's happened to me. Word 2003,
Windows XP SP2. After hard disk failure, installing new disk, re-installing
Office 2003. The Save doesn't work in Word. No error message. The only way
you can close the document is not to save. This is not a trial version. It
worked perfectly well on the previous hard disk. Same version of Windows XP
installed. Other office software working fine, such as Access, etc.

Did you reactivate Office on line after reinstalling it?
