I am using Word 2003 on a Windows 2003 server with TS. I am encountering a
problem where when using a word document on the network and trying to save.
Click save and then every now and then the name of the doc will change to
wrc#####.tmp and saved rather than the actual document.

I thought it may be something to do with somebody else
using the file and a locking problem but I think I'm the
only one using it. There's nothing on Microsoft regarding
the creation of wrcxxx.tmp files and I dont know why its
saving to this and not to the actual file.

Any ideas?

Those temp files are often created when you save, but they are not the saved
document. See ?Description of how Word creates temporary files?
