Create a new icon.
Open My Computer or Windows Explorer and locate the Word start up file
called "winword.exe" (Note when searching, you want the winword.exe
actual file, not just 1Kb shortcuts).
Right click on this file name, select Send To -> Desktop (Create
Shortcut).
A new icon will appear on your desktop named "winword.exe". Click once
on this icon and hit F2 (edit mode). You can then rename the icon to
"Word2000" or "Word for Windows" or "What A Wonderful Program This Is"
or anything else you like.
You know it makes sense.
